Recently met some friends here for lunch. Most if not all of the Lunch specials are $5.49. Plus you get the standard chips and salsa. Service was good and they had 2/1 Margaritas (although the small drink is $7) so you really only save a few dollars on the 2/1 deal. Food was hot and fresh. One of my buddies... More

My family has found it difficult to find a favorite Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee. We tried El Patron this past Friday and found it to be delicious. We will go again. Friendly & quick service! Portion sizes are great!

El Patron is wonderful playful Mexican culinary delight. The location is very convenient for state workers, and for 4.99 find yourself lost in their gigantic plate of fajitas. Hands down, better than Chipotle, service is great too. They know be by name and treat me very well!

Our server was great. Perfect timing and the food and drinks came fast. We had fajitas with generous portions and great taste. Highly recommend it.

Was here recently for a get-together with friends. The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that the server was very nice. The house margaritas are horrendous, the food was bland, and the service was incredibly slow (for drinks and food). Some people really seem to like it but I honestly can't see why.

Visited twice before making a decision. It was good. Probably one of the better in Tallahassee. The queso is yummy. The salsa is good. The Entrée was good too. I didn't care for the rice or beans. The Tacos aren't the best but the chimichanga was good. For Mexican it was good. Servers were very nice both times as well.

Nice "ambiente" , except for OVERLOUD music -- why do so many American restaurants think they are discos? To keep the staff awake?? Food average to slightly above ...

My friends and I eat here all the time. This is hands down the best Mexican in town. The El Patron dip is incredible and the enchiladas as are the best. The drink specials are fantastic and well worth it. The agua fresca is one of my favorites non-alcoholic drinks and is gigantic. The daiquiris and margaritas are always 2x1... More

We ate here after seeing the reviews. The people leaving the reviews must of been as drunk as 90% of the people eating there. We decided to eat on the patio to avoid the loud music and crowd. We waited 10 minutes for a server... the food was served cold... and there were multiple mice and rats running around the... More

Warm, lively interior (and also a very pleasant deck for outdoor dining); friendly, attentive service. Full bar. BUT: No Mexican restaurant should be serving tacos made with "pre-fab" taco shells. How hard and expensive is it to go to Publix and buy some Mission brand corn tortillas? Although I am no gourmet Mexican food cook, I do it all the... More
