Wells Brothers was recommended to us by an FSU alum, so we tried it for a quick dinner when visiting Tallahassee before attending a fund-raising event on campus. Our waiter was attentive and knew his beer. He made several recommendations and brought a sample of a local craft beer, which we liked, so we enjoyed two of them. I had... More

The whole place is laid out into three sections: front dining room, back dining room, and the bar. I sat in the front, which is smaller than the others. The server made three suggestions and brought me my drink. I ended up taking her up on her suggestion to get the "lip smacker" burger. This burger has cheese as well... More

And "they" were pretty much on target. I haven't tried every burger place in town because they seem to keep popping up all over town but this quaint place has a little local history. If ambiance is a big part of your gastronomical experience then this probably isn't for you. But if good food is then you're in luck. And... More

I stopped in after reading TA reviews on the burgers and was not disappointed. There's a small quiet seating area up front, a sports bar area in the back, and a large amount of outdoor seating behind that. Service was quick, portions were generous, and everything tasted great. I had the Lipsmacker, which is a bacon cheddar burger with peanut... More

if you can dream up a burger, they can make it . And make it big. Delicous. Sometimes the place could be a little cleaner, but for most part, a great place to get a burger and fries. And sitting outside (when weather and bees are permissable ) is added treat.

This place is also known as Monks, by the locals. My husband and I were visiting for a football game weekend. I love to try local places when visiting a city so we picked this place. Parking is a bit of a challenge, so come early. The restaurant is also a bar so it's very casual. Once we were seated... More

Three of us out-of-towners were looking for a place for a late dinner on a Monday night. Wells Brothers won by default. We arrived at a rustic shack of a building and were escorted through two dark and noisy rooms out onto the patio where the music softly emitted from speakers. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining. It was... More

We were traveling through Tali on our way to Destin, and we took the TA community's advice on this place. Don't go expecting a fine dining experience (it's a dive as DDD would say), but if you want a good burger you shouldn't leave disappointed. I had the Gator hater. My wife had the Stilton with chicken, and our two... More

Been here several times and have NEVER been disappointed. Ever. Very casual, no frills. In fact, they hand you a menu and tell you to sit where you want - unless it's crowded, then you get told where to head. I've only had the burgers, but they are phenomenal. The combinations are eclectic, but delicious. The Lipsmacker with peanut butter... More
