My husband and I made a day trip here from Biloxi, MS and were directed to this restaurant from someone in the area. I'm glad we came! The host was on point and friendly. I attended a business dinner set up by a well known person in Tallahassee who just raved about this place. I was looking forward to something special. My initial reaction to the location, not being from Tallahassee, was that it was in a very weird strip mall. Okay, I am open to that, sometimes there are diamonds in the rough... More

Looks like this is on of the few resturants that I have ever visited where an auto tip added to your bill gives the waiter the right to be rude and arrogant! !!!! Food was ok a little high but good..wont be back anytime soon and should have walked out when he started with his attitude... to bad because could... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tallahassee. First and foremost, it is locally owned. They purchase local, wild caught fish. Steaks are also tender and perfectly prepared. Their soup is delicious and a must. Love the fresh salads, especially the chopped salad. The chef prepares beautiful dishes with a wonderful mixture of flavors.

We had not been there for a while. We went early. We were greeted very nicely. The service was excellent. My meal was top of the hill. My wife was disappointed since her crab cake was not the best. The other emals were first rate.

Wonderful meal. Had the filet mignon. Tender, tasty, perfectly cooked, and nice portion size. The sides -- potatoes and asparagus -- were also excellent. I hadn't been there in a while. Both my boyfriend and I thought it was a great experience. We will be back! Highly recommend.

Way over priced for American food. This is a joke for French cuisine. I had a Avocado salad with no avocado, asked the waiter where the avocado was and he apologized and brought out a replacement salad with one little sliver of avocado. I laughed and asked him why they called the salad an avocado salad, he was not amused...neither... More

I was on a fishing trip to the coastline and my two friends suggested we went to Tallahassee for a nice dinner. With information from Tripadvisor, we chose A la Provence. We were not disappointed. Food is traditional French. We ordered different items so that we could share. All were very well prepared and tasty. Had a bottle each of... More

We were in Talahassee for business and since we love French food, we tried A la Provence out.We arrived at 6:30 and had to go looking for a hostess. I got almost to the kitchen before I found anyone who would help me out. As a verteran Chef, I realize how important first impressions are and this was not inspiring.... More

A nice restaurant experience only starts with the food but encompasses the entire experience of the night. A La Provence is a unique dining experience hidden away the sleepy little town of Tallahassee. The service is attentive, the wine selection good (I highly recommend the Bodega Elena De Mendoza Argentina 2013 malbec), and the surroundings pleasant. The food is very... More
