We went for dinner. The restaurant was good, salads and appetizers were very good, specially the eggplants and the escargot casserole. The main entrees were pretty good, expect the Duck and Quail, a total disappointment, but ambience and service were good.

We have loved A La Provence for so long, and have gone many, many times, so it is time to say how wonderful it is! The ambiance is just so pretty now with the new chairs and the round tables for eight are unique too. The service is as impeccable as the food. We love Brian and the owner, Bill... More

The star of my Pot Au Feu was the Horseradish-Parsley-Dijon relist but it was more like an aioli. Therein lies the problem. Aioli everywhere and for no good reason, The filet was beautiful aged beef and the bearnaise aioli on the crisp asparagus made sense. But not much else did. I love a young veggie as much as the next... More

My husband and I were shopping in Tallahassee and heard that A La Provence was highly recommended. The food was great, the service was true fine dinning, and we had a great Zinfandel with our meal. I have to go back and get the name of the vintner, and have another meal.

Very disappointing, I'm afraid, but TLH is not known for its fine dining... We ordered the house-made pate and it tasted like Parmesan cheese was a component - certainly not even as good as store-bought. Nice interior, but colorless, and the food was poorly prepared and way over-priced. Trip Advisor sent me an email asking to rate my favorite TLH... More

One of Tallahassee's most reliable restaurants. Menu is solid and they deliver the goods consistently. Bar in the back is a nice hang out for clean, lowkey atmosphere and good drinks.

Delicious French food, ambiance is very good for Tallahassee, service also very good. Owner often around to talk with customers and make certain they are happy with food and service.

my waiter was Lee also, and the service was excellent. elegant decor inside a stark contrast to strip mall outside. just what i needed after a long day on the road-good wine, refreshing florida fruit salad, tasty sauce with the pappardelle main course, and creme brulee to die for.

When we asked about the wait, our waitress pointed to an adjoining room with a loud party going on (well, loud babies, anyway). No apology or change. Mind you, this was the wait for our starter: the CHEESE Board. (i.e. no cooking required) the following dishes were equally slow to arrive. Pros: the cheese board ($15 for 2 cheeses with... More

We go here just about ever weekend we are in town. The chef prepares wonderful dishes. I have many favorites, but the chicken and vegetables is the best comfort food one could desire. I'm not a big fan of plain ol chicken, but Lee and Mercedes recommended it and it was delicious. BTW, Lee, Mercedes and Charlie are the best... More
