Pretty good all round

You would have to know about Whisk as it is unlikely that you would come upon it by accident. Nice, friendly, local feel it ticked all of the boxes. The menu is not complex but the food is well cooked and tasty. Beer menu includes a Russian Imperial Stout which would stand comparison with... read more

The place stands out mostly in relative terms: it's a decent imitation of big-town foodie joints in an unexpected spot. The menu is rather unimaginative. You'll find the usual once-trendy suspects (Brussels sprouts with bacon, fingerling potatoes, etc.), with little to distinguish this from any of a hundred brunch spots in Brooklyn. That being said, the food is made quite... More

Web visited Whisk last night for the first time. We had a reservation at 6:00 pm (they do not take reservations after 6:00 pm). We were fortunate to find one the the restaurants' few parking spaces available and were seated right away in a corner. The table behind us had a young couple with an infant and the table next... Whisk Gourmet was the name of this stop, located in South Miami. This DDD was off the road a bit, and down a dark road. However, the parking lot was full and the restaurant was packed!! Due to the large crowd, I thought "This is gonna be good!". There were several entrees that sounded appealing. When deciding on what to... More

So my hubby asked a few friends where can we get a pure to eat in south Miami and the answer from everyone was WHISK. The parking is limited and the location is small so expect a wait on peak dinner and lunch times. We had the fried green tomatoes which were perfect. I thought they looked heavily breaded but... This restaurant is just fantastic. The chef is amazing, the staff is kind and accommodating, and I thought I would never say this but I now LOVE Brussels sprouts.

My wife and I had lunch here on a week day. It was very busy which is typical of the Whisk. I was amazed at the good service, and I am one that doesn’t care about service that much. If I have a glass of wine in front of me, I don’t normally care how long it takes for the... More

What a wonderful experience. Greeted by a group of caring people and felt very welcome. Started with the fried green tomatoes, the shrimp and grits shared 3 different sandwiches and then there was the deep fried red snapper................the absolute best piece of fish i have ever experienced. Perfectly spiced and done to perfection!!!!!! Brendan Connor the Chef and owner stopped... More

Seems to be spotty. Sometimes very good, other times just good. This is not anegative review and I would suggest this place as a you can't go wrong place.
