Great food -- pulled pork, beef, sides, everything. The baby-backs weren't my style. I like the St Louis a bit more an found these to be a bit dry.

I really enjoyed the BBQ at Porkie's...and the things unique to Porkie's that you just didn't find at EVERY other BBQ joint. Their BBQ Salad that was loaded with pulled pork was served on a HUGE plate that looked more like a serving tray...their smoked chicken was also available with an Alabama White Sauce that had a mayo base and... Too bad that they closed, but I think when Backyard Boys Barbecue opened practically across the street that did them in. This place was ok, but it just couldn't compete with the great food and better prices of the new place. Too bad. I hate to see any restaurant close.

Nice little shop that does BBQ meat properly. The beans are just like canned baked beans, the Brunswick stew is Georgia style vegetable stew (mostly corn with very little meat), the slaw is vinegar based, the fries are nice, the sauces are very thick but have appropriate spices. Overall not a bad place for lunch, just nothing that really separates... More

If you have any sort of passion for real barbecue, this is one restaurant to check into asap. It's a tiny, stand-in-line to order kind of place, sometimes crowded - as it deserves to be. Just driving by and catching a whiff is enough to make your mouth water. My favorite gourmand introduced me to them. He's eaten in everything... More

This small BBQ restaurant on Ridgewood Ave is really big on flavor. I first visited their DeLand location and had a fantastic sliced pork sandwich so decided to visit the So. Daytona location with a couple friends when in the area last week. We had a table full of ribs, chopped brisket, sliced pork with summer slaw, potato salad and... More

Best BBQ in town...it's authentic unlike some of the larger chains around. We split a rib combo (pork and beef ribs, two sides and garlic bread - $13.95) - plenty for both of us. We often stop by to pick up ribs for take out and we are never disappointed. It is small, but nicely decorated. It never seems to... More

I have tried this place a couple of times and I don't get what everyone loves about it. It is basic bbq but the worst part to me is they are just not friendly in the place! I won't go back.
