Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota’s premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We feature an extensive wine list, specialty martinis, as well as a full bar. Family owned and operated for over 22 years, we have an experienced staff that prides itself on exemplary service.

It takes a lot for me to give a five star rating but Ophelias is woth it. Sure the parking is limited but they offer complimentary valet so what's the big deal? Worried about the price? You're in the wrong place. But if you a willing to pay for excellent food and service and a great atmosphere, definitely put Ophelias... More

Some reviewers have commented that Ophelia's is overpriced. I disagree, you get what you pay for and what we paid for was a great meal; good sized portions of Red Snapper and Rack of Lamb. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were full of large chunks of crab without the filler, just excellent. There's a great... More

Ancient building, horrible parking, good view of the water but I found it very overpriced for the food they served.

I reserved a table for four at Ophelia's on the Bay. The hostess that answered the telephone when I made the reservation was so courteous and helpful, I knew the dining experience would be terrific. From the time we entered the restaurant, the service and attention to detail was the best that I have seen. The table was in the... More

We took the Sarasota Herald Tribune's Saucy Girl Ad Suggestion to try the Ophelia's on the Bay Happy Hour served at the BAR. We three gals first walked straight ahead to take in the ambiance of the setting on the bay where cool night comfort was augmented by table side warmers. The rush to serve us well by waiters dressed... More

This is our third time back to the restaurant for special occasion dining. Wonderful again! Located south of the Stickney Point Bridge about 2 miles, the outside doesn't look like anything special. You might pass it if your aren't looking close. Be prepared to valet park as the parking lot is small so it is required, but free! We have... More

Service was great. Make a reservation. The lamb chops with Ramon noodles was the best. I would love the noodles and shrimp as an entree.

We enjoyed a great meal just before sunset at Ophelia's on the Bay. The valet parking was a dream and we were ushered inside and to our table with ease. The menu was definitely appealing to everyone in our party and we all found something new and delightful to try. It was December so we couldn't sample the outdoor area... More
