Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota's premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We feature an extensive wine list, specialty martinis, as well as a full bar. Family owned and operated for over 27 years, we have an experienced staff that prides itself on exemplary service.

Not your typical Florida restaurant

What a wonderful place on the bay. Elegant service, good selection of food and wine. Server was attentive without intruding, not overly expensive but well worth the trip. Crowded on a Saturday nite but no problem, no wait with our reservations. Will come back

Overall, by far the best dining experience we have had in recent months. Our waiter Chris was extremely helpful, the main courses we picked (lobster for my wife, duck for me) were expertly prepared and presented. The setting was opulent; the tab perfectly reasonable. Will definitely return next year.

We loved our meal here that we shared with our friends. This was definitely a gourmet meal with excellent service. This was by far the best meal we have yet had in 2016.

This restaurant was also a recommendation from some local folks we met at breakfast. We were early for a 6:15 reservation but seated immediately at a cozy table close to the water. My only les than positive comment will be about the size of the tables but that is so minor it is almost not worth mentioning as the dining... More

Went to Ophelia's for a romantic dinner. It's expensive and gourmet, but the food is great. Definitely worth it if you are looking for something more upscale than the typical Siesta Key bar and grill. Great for special occasions! Reserve a table outside for the best views.

Everything is superb, the food, the service, the setting. Most selections are expensive but some items are no more costly than other restaurants yet so much better. If you want to experience the best and are prepared for the price try Ophelia's. You will never be sorry.

Food was good. But this is not what I expected for a brunch. I thought it was a buffet. Menu is a la cart, then the "brunch buffet" is fruit (water melon and cantaloupe, honey dew melon), danishes, muffins, a cookie and a pie. Atmosphere was good. Nice view. Service was a bit slow.

An old favourite on Siesta Key, right on the water, raises one's expectations. We should have been suspicious when we found a $ 10 gift coupon in the numerous travel brochures around town. A sashimi appetizer bore a bare resemblance to actual sashimi. The mashed potatoes with the main course were brought cold. Maybe Sunday night football distracted the chef.

We four had an excellent dinner at Ophelia's. The scallops were wonderful and martinis well done. Salmon was nicely presented and our waitress really knew the menu!
