Absolutely Superb

This place just never disappoints. SUPER filet and an early bird special. It just doesn't get better than that. Our party had the filet Miguel, the scallops, and a chicken dish as entrees. Salad and soup included, both excellent. And the mousse was to die for. Highly recommend. Will return.

One of the best places to eat in Sarasota. Where else can you go for caeser salad prepared fresh table side, not to mention the bananas foster! If you're a foodie you can't miss a stop at this long established Sarasota restaurant!

We ate their our last night not knowing what to expect when we walking around the area. It is located in a strip mall back in the corner. There is a pizza joint on the corner that has a better store front position BUT could never compare to the staff and quality of food at Miguel's.

This neat little restaurant is tucked in the corner of a strip mall, but as soon as you walk in the door you are transfixed. I immediately felt I was in Europe. The walls are lined with hundreds of wine bottles and colorful ceramics. Lovely ambience. We had a lovely waitress and the food was delish. We were a party... More

when you are on the siesta key, you don't have much choice in good eating spots. But this place is a gem and the prices are incredibly reasonable. It is a fine dining experience at casual dining prices. You would expect double the price and. To flinch. Hint:come for the early bird special. Four course gourmet quality meal for less... More

Take a step back in time to an old world style of dining, but you will definitely take a step up in food quality! This is no boring, predictable chain restaurant. Our waiter, Igor, was charming and very efficient, and he could describe the dishes we were eating well because he helped prepare them that afternoon. Their house wine was... More

The place is packed and noisy, but the food is great. You get an appetizer, salad, full meal, and desert for the price of a meal elsewhere. All included with the meal price.

Went for the early bird special on the recommendation of a local. Located in a strip mall, the decor is very over-the-top: quasi imitation French chateau. One of the included starters was carrot lemon grass soup, which was the best part of the meal. After being told by a server that people came especially for the veal piccata, I was... More

Service was top notch but my mixed grill of meats was salty and accompanying veggies and sauces were unremarkable. My wife had a veal dish that she found mushy and flavorless. In addition, a pet peeve of mine, the red wine was not chilled properly and should have been at least 10 degrees cooler.

The food was great and the service prompt and helpful. We ate three dinners in this restaurant, and despite the name "Miguel's" it is French and Continental food. Good prices, including the "early bird" special --a five course dinner for about 20 dollars.
