Their "Best" Caesar salad claim....right on!!

Miguel's is a little slice of heaven in a touristy town full of same old, same old meals. It has a cozy, quiet atmosphere, perfect for a more upscale dinner for two. We started with their house wine which was lovely and quickly went through the warm basket of rolls....I don't know how they make... read more

The reasonably priced early bird special was great. It included a tenderloin tips appetizer that was tasty and tender. Spouse had the chicken soup that was also very good. Included was salad and desert. For entrée I chose a chicken dish that was excellent and spouse chose a fish special that was average. House wine was also very good. Restaurant... More

If a restaurant claims to cook and serve French food, you expect something that at least resembles French cuisine. Reading the menu, we were quite impressed, ordered a starter of Normandy Moules, living only 15 miles from France and visited many French Restaurants, I was looking forward to this dish, well what I was served was 12 mussels. 6 still... We moved to Sarasota, FL 18 months ago and have been exploring restaurants and events in this area. A friend of ours recommended Miguel's on beautiful Siesta Key and told us the early dining option was an incredable deal. My wife wanted to go there tonite for her birthday. This is a restaurant specializing in French Cuisine, and their early... More

When we checked into our resort the manager quickly recommended a dinner at Miguel's. We made a reservation. We arrived a few minutes early and the hostess knew who we were, where we were staying and greeted us politely. We ate the early bird special and were pleased with the variety of choices. My wife had the lamb chops and... More

Four course early birds 20-25 are filling and great. Wife loved fish trio medley with different sauces I loved the filet mignon while last year I tried grilled trio meat medley, on dinner menu, fantastic. Deserts were great and I was full after the early bird. Location in a strip mall near crescent beach away from the Siesta key village... More

Got stuck in the "other" room last night even though there were plenty of open tables in the "real" front room. Dingy. Sort of like a grade school cafeteria during a storm without music. Food and service were so-so at best and all of the gooey sauce on the fish entree was an unwelcome sight.

We don't usually go for French American foods but we looked at the menu and checked the reviews which were fabulous and it was conveniently located across from Tropical Resorts. We didn't have a reservations and had to wait, but they were so very nice to us in the meantime. Our server was ok; kind of blah, but efficient enough.... More

We ate here twice and the second time was a huge mistake. On our fist visit the food was good, not great, but the service was fine. The second time was a complete switch. Our waiter was rude and dismissive, the food was mediocre and so covered in sauces you couldn't tell what you were tasting. Never again.

Wonderful dinner with friends. Great food, great service. Would highly recommend. After reading the other reviews I can't wait to go back and try the Caesar Salad.
