It was the perfect place to have a cold scoop of ice cream on a hot summer day! Ordered the Toasted Coconut and it was fantastic. Only downside, it is a little pricey for even just one scoop. All in all, good experience. Would go back next time we are in the area.

There are a lot of good ice cream shoppes on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida. What would you expect when thousands of tourists are attracted annually to the top-rated beach in the United States? The same beach whose 87-degree water temperature and powdery white sand is only a few steps from Big Olaf Creamery? Dennis Yoder, founder of Big Olaf,... More

This place was a big hit with all of our group, old and young alike. (Aside from one who is lactose intolerant! ha!) The ice cream was really, really good. The employees were really funny and friendly, teenager-types. One note: this place only accepts cash. Remember to have some paper with you when you go!

The only bad thing about Big Olaf's is trying to decide what flavors to get. The ice cream is so hood, I can never decide.

The ice cream was great. Now we see why the line gets so long after dinner in the village. They could work on better customer service though.

The line was out the door. Despite what looked like a scary wait, service was so fast. Delicious ice cream. Lots of flavors. Beware, they only accept cash.

Just great flavors with a good richness. Everyone goes here and so should you! We ate all sorts of great combinations that seem to keep changing so there is always something new to try. Can't miss.

So may flavors to chose from! They were lined out the door and we still managed to get served within 5 minutes! I recommend the banana ice cream with walnuts and chocolate. So good! A little pricey but everything is in siesta key.

Sort of a regular thing to do after a good meal...go to Olafs for ice cream. It's a bit pricey but what isn't in a huge tourist area like Siesta Key. Very good ice cream with a lot of varieties. Cash only!

We ended up coming here several days in a row after spending hours in the hot sun at the beach. My girls would scream, "let's go to Big Olafs"! Great way to cool off after a long day at the beach. The ice cream is creamy and they give you a huge scoop! There are a ton of flavors, so... More
