I will start with the good things: Clean, Pleasant area, wonderful wall painting banner, waiters are good. The cuzquena bear was chilling and cold. Bread good. Presentation of the plates are good. Bad thinks: They don't have peruvian corn ( canchita serrana). Ceviche is really bad because the fish was overcooked with lemon. No choclo.Really small portions. We order jalea... More

We visited Javier's twice during our week in Siesta Key. I was very happy to have so many organic vegetarian options, but the rest of the menu was extensive enough to please everyone. Some of the highlights of the two meals were the appetizers - the gorgonzola shrimp were amazing, and the bacon wrapped scallops were even better. The house... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is small and intimate. Peruvian decoration and wonderful peruvian dishes. They have delicious tapas and wonderful entrees. We had a wonderful bottle of Chilean wine as well that was $26.00. I had a delicious vegetarian cilantro risotto that was very flavorful and so large that I brought half of it home... More

We visited Javier's in Siesta Key for the second time on July 1, 2014. The menu was extensive, specializing in Peruvian entrees, as well as many classic favorites. Service was wonderful- attentive, but not overdone. The food was superb. You need to go here whenever visiting Siesta Key.

If you love tapas, you will love Javier's. Our party of three had their discounted 4-course tapas meal for $26 each. We each got different food so we can sample it all. The food was fresh and had many organic choices. The desserts were out of this world. You have to try the banana foster with plantains instead....yum. Only reason... More

This was our second trip to Siesta Key and our second visit to Javier's. We decided to return because of how much we enjoyed it the first time. It did not disappoint! The wait staff was again friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. They offer an extensive and varied menu. I had the Peruvian surf and turf - skewered filet... More

My family, friends and I make sure we go to Javiers every vacation for bananas foster. It is amazing and nothing else can compare, as far as other bananas foster. Their other desserts are great too, but we always get two bananas foster each!

We went to Javier's to celebrate a birthday, and our family of 8 adults was glad we had chosen it. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food good. There are many choices for appetizers as well as well as entrees. It was a fun atmosphere and that contributed to our positive feelings. The restaurant is not fancy, but... More

My husband and I shared a series of small plates and were extremely pleased with the quality of the food and the service. One of the most unique and interesting meals I have ever had, with every dish a new (and delicious) adventure. Even the plantains, normally a humble dish, were a high point. The wine list was varied and... More

It sure is easy to pass by this restaurant since it is hidden in the back of a strip center. We decided to try it based on reviews that we read on Trip Advisor and didn't even realize that it was across the street from where we were staying It was fabulous! We went twice and both meals were excellent.... More
