One would have though this place was beach front. However it is on the main street of the village. Small place, a lot going on. They have live music at night, people moving everywhere. TV's located throughout the inside area. Outside is the smoking area, they should really ban smoking altogether. An exciting place to visit. Food was good and... More

We went late in the evening and it was reasonably crowded in the slow season. They had a live band and great friendly service. The oysters were so so but reasonably priced. Food was bland

Service was excellent and so was the food. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the live music. Great beer selection and good food.

We had two meals at SKOB. DELICIOUS! The best jerk shrimp I've ever eaten. The salads were so fresh- no funky preservative taste. We enjoyed the music and friendly and attentive wait staff.

The restaurants on Siesta Key leave a lot to be desired, but this turned out to be one of our best. The staff was nice and patient as we were very slow to order while we dealt with an emergency at home. The food was pretty good. One of the better key lime pies we had. The fish tacos were... More

I guess my problem here had more to do with inflated expectations. After seeing that this place was supposed to be among the best places for seafood on Siesta Key, I was looking forward to a great meal. My wife ordered the Shrimp Puttanesca, while I had a blackened grouper (I think - I don't see it on the menu... More

Such a great find! All the locals seem to go to this place, which is quite interesting to watch! Can't say anything about the food as my husband and I were just there for drinks and the music but all the locals raved about it. We sat on the patio and had a great time! Phil was our waiter and... Give SKOB five stars for atmosphere and outdoor seating. None better on the key. Food is sometimes great, but I was burned last year with mini oysters. Weird at an oyster bar. I go here every year I go to Siesta Key and love my visit. This is the first time for their wings and may be my favorite now.... More

Glad to hear you come every year. We love it when guests want to come back and enjoy the music and the food. Oysters come mainly from the Gulf and sometimes weather plays a role we cannot control. We do pay a premium for the best oysters, but mother nature sometimes is fussy. We appreciate your feedback and will always... More
