We had a late lunch, and were satisfied with the quality of the food, and the service. We were seated promptly, and our friendly server took our drink order promptly. My husband had a beer, I had an iced tea. The oysters are 1/2 price at 3pm, so I indulged on 2 dozen. They were chilled, plump and tasted fresh.... More

My Wife and I drove up to Siesta Key for her birthday and I looked at several restaurants and their reviews prior to our trip. This place stood out as one we wanted to try the most. We went there for lunch and our server, David was very knowledgeable about the food and did very well at recommending and describing... More

We were looking forward to dinner at SKOB because of the good reviews we read. The first evening we were going to go, I decided against it because the hostess was completely miserable to the people putting their names on the waiting list in front of us and I didn't like that as a first impression, especially when we could... Angela was our bartender/server. She was very very busy, but had a smile for all. Food was bland, music was good/ beers were cold and drinks well made.

This was the first restaurant we ate in while vacationing in Siesta Key, and we really liked it. It has a Key West seafood shack type of feel. Definitely not a fancy interior! But they have a nice outdoor deck with music playing in the evenings and a nice sized bar. I ordered the Siesta Key Fiesta platter that had... More

We depend on SKOB as our "come as you are" restaurant. They have cleaned the place up in the past year. All dollar bills have been removed from the walls. Grouper tacos are the go-to for me, husband & friends like the shrimp tacos, grouper bites, grouper sandwich & oysters.

We ate at SKOB on July 20th. It was our first night out in Siesta Key. We sat outside to enjoy the weather. The only down side is the music (band) was way too loud. We could not talk or even give our order. Once the band took a break, we had our dinner. The food was very good. Drinks... More

Outside of the fantastic happy hour specials ($7 for dozen oysters or the Louisiana crawfish), there is nothing standout-ish about this typical beach bar. Wobbly stools? Check. Food remnants left on outside table? Check. Dingy interior with funky smell? Check and check. But I was just there for the happy hour specials, not a night out on the town. The... More

It was the very first time I had oysters they were excellent. We also ordered the grouper cheeks absolutely awesome. The down fall in my rating is the bathrooms. You can smell a sewage back up in the dining room. We luckily were seated outside and only had to deal with the smell for a short bit, not pleasant when... More

Thank you for giving me the details of your visit. We did have a pipe burst in our kitchen, and after 2 plumbers, 3 days and lots of $$ - All fixed. Bad news is, it happened while you were there. We are truly sorry this happened during your stay. The other 362 days would have been wonderful for you.... More
