This is what I have been looking for!

Came here for a late breakfast on a rainy morning and got the total American experience I have been looking for that you just can't get in the chain restaurants- proper American food, stacks of it for very little money! I had blueberry pancakes and my husband had scrambled egg with hash browns... read more

This restaurant looks like it was once an old house. Tables and chairs are spaced throughout all the rooms. It is a local's hangout. Waitresses were peppy and smiling. Antiques were on the walls throughout. We had the Prime Rib, which was a dollar off on Thursdays making it $8.99...a heck of a steal anywhere. It was amazingly good -... More

First, they need to upgrade the AC. I climbed on a chair to reverse the fan to downdraft or we would have melted before the food arrived. Prices are very reasonable, there is never a line, probably because the tourists don't know it's here, and the food is surprisingly good! Order the fried mushroom appetizer and you'll need 3 people... More

Had been told how. Good the Prime Rib was,so on recommendation I tried it. Have to say it was over cooked and dry, though still edible and as I was a guest of somebody's, I didn't complain. Over the years I have eaten there maybe half a dozen times and usually I can say it is ok.

We eat here at least once a week and always enjoy it. But what a rip off on their Wednesday special of crab cakes. It used to be one for $7.99, 2 for $9.99. Great. Now it is 1 for $8.99, BUT $7 for the second crab cake. Way too much so we never go on Wednesdays anymore. Please check... More

Don't let the outside fool you. The nostalgia decor inside is fun and our server was friendly but not speedy. The burger and fries and beer battered onion rings were good but when my grandson asked for a chocolate shake they weren't making them! This was a disappointment. The special seafood gumbo with rice was good as were the crabcakes though... More

As the Roadside is on my way home from work Friday night is My special stop by night. I do the takeout and still always have plenty of fish. Comes with veggie, potato (choices) and warm bread. A real treat.

This diner never fails to deliver. There menu is standard fare with a good variety and daily specials. Since they keep the specials every week you can always plan your week if you want to go for a certain meal. Servers are not only pleasant and efficient they seem dedicated to the diner itself. Always been treated like family. Good... More

Great environment, friendly staff, cozy decor and great prices. 7-10$ for sizable entrees and the brownies that they sell at the register are phenomenal. Definitely worth a visit.
