Roy's, as others have said, is a high-priced restaurant. On a Thursday night with the Season waning, we found it uncrowded and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere is elegant and hushed. The pris-fixe menu, provided you like the choices, is the way to go to make it more of a value. If you have a coupon of some sort,... More

it happened that we were in Sarasota visiting with friends, and attractions around town. On the way back, we're looking for a good place to eat. Roy's came out on the top of the list. I though to give it a try. Make a reservation just about about 45 minutes earlier and drove to the restaurant. Ended having a great... More

We go here whenever we can for two simple reasons: excellent food & they know how to take care of the kids. They always meet our requests. Everything is delicious. They're accommodating for picky eaters & service is consistently good. If my 7 & 11 year old see any Roy's restaurant on our travels it's always the place they beg... More

Their service is outstanding! The atmosphere and ambiance is first class. The food was lacking. The cost as over $300 for our party of five. No one in our party came away saying "we have to go back". On the contrary, for the price our concensus was "probably not again".

The last time we were here I had excellent but small serving of scallops and this time had the butterfish with buttery bok choy and sticky rice. The butter fish is marinated in a soy sauce with sugar and is really fall apart tasty good. Think this is my favorite dish. The service is excellent but I got scared to... More

My husband surprised me by taking me to Roy's where he had proposed to me a year ago on March 15th. Due to it being a special occasion, there was a menu insert congratulating us on the anniversary visit and, after seeing my husband's special reservation request, one of the managers looked up our event from last year to get... First, I tried to make a reservation via openTable through TripAdvisor ... It did not work. I had to go to the Roys website to make a reservation. After the reservation was made, they spammed me with email. We tried to order drinks at the table before dinner but were told that the Aloha Hour specials were only available at... More

Sorry to say, but Roy's was a big disappointment. We chose the restaurant because we had some particular needs. We were dining with a 94 year old woman and thought, based on our previous experiences, that Roy's would be perfect....quiet, great food and spot on service. We were wrong on all accounts. The wine list is uninspired and way over... More

the dishes are a fusion of Asian and Fresh California cuisine. The sushi was very fresh and tasty. The shrimp Salad was delicious. The trio of lobster, Mahi and shrimp was very good but my lobster was undercooked just a little. The salmon was wonderful
