Amazing food, good ambience!

Let me start by saying I am an employee of Fleming's, which used to be a sister company of Roy's, so I am familiar with the standards Roy's is supposed to live up to. I came here to celebrate my boyfriend's 21st birthday on July 19, 2015. We arrived 30 minutes before closing time, and since we both... read more

Roy's, although very expensive, was nice. We sat at a bar, where we were able to watch the chef and the sous chefs prepare meals. We watched them prepare our appetizer and then our dinner. They were both very tasty and very enjoyable and presented beautifully. The manager checked on us 2 times, which I think is very nice in... More

My wife and I went with two other couples, and frankly, my expectations were not high. But the food was surprisingly good. My wife had a lobster California roll to start, and I had bi bim bap, beef short ribs. The lobster roll was good; the short ribs were pedestrian. But the main courses were great. My wife had the... This is a glorified chain that has high prices and mediocre food. The four small plates (appetizers) were tasteless. Could have been eating anything. The entrees were very expensive for what they were, which was safe, middle of the road flavors. At these prices they should be ashamed.

Just had to log in to Trip Advisor to let others know, as well as Roy's themselves, about the quality of the food. It was awful. Fishy smell, horrible presentation, complaints at other tables around us. We dined at Roy's 2 years ago for Mothers Day and wanted to try it again, despite many bad reviews. Same menu basically.. and... More

Reasonable food. Mahi was not as fresh as it should have been. Our young waitress made the whole evening enjoyable. (Wish I could remember her name)

We have been to this restaurant a few times, on this occasion is. Was extremely disappointing. All of our appetisers came out luke warm, and the Lobster 'pot stickers' didn't seem to contain much lobster! The most disappointing dish was the 'best ever Ramen' that is quite a bold naming of a dish for a Haiwain themed restaurant. If they... More

I always look for a Roys location in what ever town I am in. While in Sarasota I came across this hidden little gem. One of the best I have been to. Food and service where Outstanding. Be sure to get an item off the special chefs page, and if at all possible Brandon as your waiter.

Roy's may be known for it's savory side, but let me be the first to inform you that when it comes to desserts...absolute mind-bomb. Ok, so they have the chocolate "souffle" that takes 20 minutes to bake. Big deal. What restaurant in their right mind nowadays doesnt have a molten lava chocolate cake on their dessert menu? As good as... More

Went to Roy's tonight for a special family event this evening. The lounge was full for happy hour, but they made us feel more than at home at the kitchen bar. We were there with our two boys, ages 9 and 11. Brendan brought them Shirley Temples while my wife and I shared happy hour cocktails. We all shared their... More
