This evening, my elderly mother and I made our first visit to Roy's, and while the experience was good in many ways, it was surprisingly disappointing in others, and I would rate it as no better than average in terms of value received for price paid. On the plus side, all of the staff that we encountered - manager, bussers,... More

We have visited this restaurant quite a few time and also Roy's in other cities. They never disappoint. Our table was not ready immediately so, we went to the bar for a drink. The service was quite prompt and the house wine was very good. We were then seated at a very nice booth table. Our waiter was prompt and... More

We love Roy's (wife, Haunani is Hawaiian) and chose it for our special celebration. Other than the fact that we waited 20 minutes for our drink order (the place was packed), we had a great dining experience. We enjoy truly Hawaiian food, and were pleased with the fare we ordered. Started with a native favorite, ahi poke - a combination... More

We have been to Roy's before but our last visit was truly special. We had the Chef's special three course dinner. It was unique, a little exotic and absolutely delicious! The service was impeccable, the atmosphere, relaxing and pleasant. I felt as refreshed as if I had just completed a great adventure, and I had!

The restaurant is definitely very nice inside. The menu is interesting, but the taste is on the average side. Foie gras was really nice, sushi roll was alright. We ordered tempura white sea bass and macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi. Fish was dry and not a lot of flavor. My dad got fillet mignon and said it was good. Overall,... More

I was told from a friend about Roy's happy hour. I was very impressed with the drink selection and service. The bartender was friendly. I did order some happy hour food and it was so-so. I will have to some back for dinner to give them one more try (maybe).

We have only been to Roy's one other time, when they first opened here in Sarasota. Perhaps because it was new, we enjoyed our meal but never returned, a few kinks back then..... We have had great experiences visiting Roy's in Pebble Beach frequently when we visit our kids who live nearby, and have loved going there at sunset and... More

Overall, the place is elegant, the food was very good, especially the scallops. The service was fair, maybe too present. It was an enjoyable experience, with good cocktails to start with and excellent wine. It was a bit pricey, but worth it.

We hadn't been here in years and realize it really should be in our once / twice a year "better restaurant" rotation. We had a reservation and were seated immediately by a charming and efficient hostess. We placed an order with our waiter who appeared quickly for two of their "signature" Martini's infused with pineapple and an app of their... More

We were looking for a unique experience to celebrate my son's, girlfriend's 20th birthday. We really enjoyed our evening from the appetizer, to the chefs special appetizer and the main course to the special birthday dessert. The food was excellent and we left full but not stuffed. We enjoyed all the flavors. The waiter was excellent and the manager stopped... More
