This has now changed hands and is called Roscoe's 12th Street Cafe. Good food and I can well recommend the corned beef hash with poached eggs. Excellent service.

We went there on Valentines Day for breakfast and the owner seated us immediately. The waitress arrived shortly thereafter with coffee and took our orders. We then waited and waited and waited for our food. The waitresses were waiting for food to come out of the kitchen, but nothing was cominng out and the owner just kept walking around complaining... We had breakfast here today and was not disappointed. We had read many good reviews online and wanted to try somewhere new. We are only in Sarasota for the month of March for Spring Training. This restaurant is next to Ed Smith Stadium. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our waitress served us coffee as soon as we sat... More

Walk in and a smiling face greets you. Sit down and a robust hot cup of coffee miraculously appears. Place your order and you will get it EXACTLY as you ordered it. It does not get any better than this. I recommend everything on the menu!

I just had a delicious meal from the 12th Street Cafe! I have not gone back to this restaurant due to previous bad experiences. I am happy to say that the new management team and staff are very friendly and the food has improved 100%! Well done! I will be dining here more often now that I know I can... More

We eat breakfast here almost everyday, and quite often return for lunch. All of the food is of the highest quality and excellently prepared. Try the fresh blueberry pancakes, bet you can't eat all three. French toast croissant topped with warm cinnamon apples, or corned beef hash are among our favorites. And the entire menu is available anytime. If you'd... More

Had the opportunity to visit 12th St. Cafe for the first time, for a casual business meeting, and it was a great dining experience! "A diner" in principle.. with a great menu, great service, and tasty food! Had the "chicken sandwich" topped with swiss and bacon and LOVED it! New owner casually stopped by to "check on how we were... More
