I loved the chicken dish with the olive oil. Bread was very good. We didn't have to wait too long. Very nice staff.

Our family of four visited on a Friday night. We arrived about 6:15 and were told we had a 20-25 minute wait. It ended up being 45 minutes. Primo had been recommended by some family members as having really great pizza. While we found the flavor to be very good, the middle part of the crust was not as crispy... More

Went to Primo's for the first time this January. The bread was crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. The antipasto was a bit of a disappointment, as it had no dressing on it (and there was some type of fruit fly in it), and the pasta entree was very tasty. I would go back again.

Let me just say we LOVE Primo's, especially the early bird special. We especially like thier homemade bread, salad and dressing....Not to say everythings perfect but for florida very good, eg. we usually order the Sorrento which is an awesome seafood & pasta dish, unfortunately its just ok on Sat nites (different chef?) undercooked sauce, not much flavor....BUT go on... My husband and I went for dinner there for the first time with a groupon and were not disappointed. I particularly loved the Caesar Salad and the bread. The steak was good and my husband got the octopus which he enjoyed. The service was not the best as our waitress seemed overwhelmed but overall it was a nice experience and... More

First visit to Primo on the Tamiani Trail. We were greeted enthusiastically by our server Wes. He was on top of things throughout the meal. We were in pizza mode and were very happy with it. We had chianti and a salad---all just fine with the pizza and at a reasonable price. It is what it is. Go in with... More

Went for dinner as it was recommended by our hotel. The waitress was friendly and attentive and that is where it ended. The first course was OK the main was bland and my lady partner said hers had no taste at all. Oh dear.

This place was right across from a motel we happened upon. Since there were plenty of cars in the lot we assumed it would be good. Even though they have been in business 28 years I sense this is one of those places that built a rep and now is on 'cruise control'. The locals out of habit and subconcious... More

I am a frequent visitor to the Sarasota area. My wife and I make Primo a must for at least one time each visit. Primo is our favorite Italian restaurant in the Sarasota area. Over the years we have dined at many good Italian restaurants in the area and totally concluded Premo to be the very BEST! We think a... More

Nothing to write home about. The calamari was terrible. The pasta dishes were fair. Service was disappointing. Our server wasn't very friendly. We expected more.
