Skimpy serving

We recently visited and ordered veal parmesan and veal piccata. Meals were good, however with the parmesan I got ONE thin slice of veal and extremely small serving of pasta. My husband had either 4 or 5 pieces of veal with the piccata and the skimpy serving of pasta. Pasta is one of the cheapest... read more

A lot of hype for average fare. Restaurant was uncomfortably hot. Pasta and marinara very good. Basalmic chicken not so much. Bread and oil very yummy.

Great food, visit often. Best Italian food in Sarasota! But, the wait staff needs BIG improvement. A wait staff can make or brake your resturant. Your young girls need to be more polite and attentive to the requests of the customer. Our waitress screwed up six times with our requests because she was not listening. Maybe a refresher course for... More

Primo get your act together or you'll lose your long time customers. The quality of the food and the portions have deminished. Tortellini and gnochi were way over cooked.tasted like mush. Even at 20 percent off for early bird the prices did not justify the quality of the food or the long wait to get it. The restarant was only... More

I had purchased a groupon for this restaurant back in 2013 but our trip to Florida got cancelled and we didn't get a chance to use it. Then in Feb. of 2015 we found ourselves in Sarasota and we found Primo's and went in to try it. we were greeted promptly and seated. The waitress came right over and took... More

Had a group of 13 and informed the staff prior to being seated that we were attending a concert about 10 minutes away and needed to be out their door by 7PM (we arrived at 5:30). We were assured that it would not be a problem. Our server started off ok, but very quickly everything went downhill. One of our... More

Went for dinner with the family- the place is very nice, friendly staff and the owner was terrific. Bread was amazing with olive oil and basil dip, fast service. We were unlucky to get an inexperienced waiter whose only talent was to be able to write his name upside down. The food was ok for the price, i had gnocci... More

I loved the chicken dish with the olive oil. Bread was very good. We didn't have to wait too long. Very nice staff.

Our family of four visited on a Friday night. We arrived about 6:15 and were told we had a 20-25 minute wait. It ended up being 45 minutes. Primo had been recommended by some family members as having really great pizza. While we found the flavor to be very good, the middle part of the crust was not as crispy... More

Went to Primo's for the first time this January. The bread was crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. The antipasto was a bit of a disappointment, as it had no dressing on it (and there was some type of fruit fly in it), and the pasta entree was very tasty. I would go back again.
