We visited Cafe Baci tonight for a Mother's day meal. Our party was 5 adults (1 in wheelchair) and a 10 month old baby. At our request we ate in the smaller upstairs room. Old-style Italian served in rooms with appropriate decor. You won't be disappointed with the food, but the wine list needs to be improved just a bit before the restaurant should be considered 5 stars. more

To be honest when somebody comes down from New England and asks "where is there great Italian food?", Cafe Baci is not on my list. This is hands down the best Italian restaurant my Husband and I have located in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. We frequent now at least once every two weeks. We went to Cafe Baci based on recommendation. It was good but not my favorite in the area. My favorite would be Le Colonne in St Armands Circle. Cafe Baci was good don't get me wrong. We accidentally discovered Cafe Baci two years ago. We were given the name of an Italian Restaurant that begain with a "B" in Sarasota. Cafe Baci was not the recommended restaurant, however, we have gone there twice since and never have we been disappointed. The atmosphere is friendly, food is wonderful, prices are reasonable. more
