Serving Sarasota for Over 25 years! The Old Salty Dog first opened its door for business in Siesta Key Village back on November 1st 1986. The owners original concept was to take a small popular village beer and hot dog stand and turn it into a casual Restaurant and Pub. They have mixed the best of the Florida Keys and their British heritage to create a fun family environment that is appealing to people from all walks of life. There are now 2 locations and they are patronized not only by their many regular local customers and characters but they also enjoy abundant new and repeat business from all over the United States and from around the World.

Lovely view, great food and drinks!

Come for the wings, stay for the view. Feel free to come as you are, weather by boat, car or bike. Family friendly and fun. Indoor and outdoor seating available all with a view. Try the Key Lime Colada or Attitude Margarita as either will satisfy and you won't be disappointed.

What a wonderful place to watch the boats, enjoy the water, have a drink and par-take in local libations. Only a local would order buffalo wings at a sea-food place but that's what I did and they were great. The service was friendly and prompt and the view, the breeze, the ambiance... wonderful. Go find it. You will enjoy it.... More

Location on the water could not be better. Lots of room for all family members. Dogs and fries for everyone. Buy a tee shirt on the way out for a pleasant memory of your visit.

The location for this is great we went at sunset and loved it. The food and drink are served on plastic trays or cups. The food was very tasty and arrives quickly after ordering. This is nothing flash but an ok place to go.

Great location with waterfront views. Food is very good, however a little pricey, but expected considering the location.

Stopped for lunch and stayed way too long. The fish taco was so good and the views of the water and boat traffic was soo relaxing. Service made me feel like I should buy a place within walking distance so I could come back everyday. Yum.

We had a great seat right on the water, in the shade. My wife had fish and chips and I had an oyster po' boy, both were great! The wait staff was excellant, we loved it.

The food here was great. I mean the Salty Dog is the best, you will never experience or look at a hot dog the same way again. I just wish there was a way I could get one back in Illinois!

Bar food galore, seafood and hot dogs. This is not fine dining nor for the health conscious. The old salty dog is a breaded fried hot dog that is delicious and comes with fries, as seen on the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives Show. You can add a variety of toppings, like sauerkraut, onions or cheese. The lure here seems to... More
