The staffed seemed to be a little overwhelmed. The food and the margaritas were less than average. Although, some of the other guest at my table really enjoyed their meal.

The atmosphere is really quaint and nice, which is why we stopped today for lunch when walking around downtown Sarasota. Service was great, seated fast and the waitress came right over to wait on us. We ordered lunch and were served quickly. So far, so good. Lunch looked good, but neither of our entrees had any taste. I had a... More

If you like fresh ingredients and flavorful Mexican food, this is not the place for you. Grand Burrito and Chicken Enchiladas were bland and uninspired. Everything tasted overcooked and without flavor. Portions were large, with refried beans and (overcooked) rice. The margaritas were more ice than drink. Service was friendly and attentive, although they were not busy on the night... More

Terrific food, generous portions, and a great ambience awaited us here. We stumbled on the restaurant while exploring Sarasota.

Magueritas seems small and weak. Fish was overcooked on my tacos. Asked for sauce on the side and got it in there anyway. Waitress forgot the green sauce for the pork tacos. Seems they like a lot of business but are not very attentive. Would not go back.

We took our family of six for an evening of Mexican food. The restaurant has a dirty look to it. Tables felt sticky. We ordered tequila from the menu. They did not have the first two choices. We settled on beer ( supposedly on tap ), but it came out in a bottle. Our tortilla soup was tasteless, and the... More

The restaurant does good business because of the location. The food was disappointing. Our plates and bowls had serious chips in them - takes away from the 'pleasure' of eating out. Will not go back.

Over the years this was our favourite restaurant whenever we were in Sarasota. Having looked forward to being able to come here again we found that it had changed a lot. We were seated quickly and then ignored for quite a while before our drink order was taken. I ordered a bottle of house chardonnay and a glass of wine... More

Had a carafe of the sangria and beef chimichanga. He had the crab quesadilla. Both of us were happy! Prices were reasonable and the portions were huge. Too bad we're in a hotel and can't take any back.

Very disappointed with the food, had the choose any three and they all were dry and tasteless, Chicken filling was dry, you can get better Mexican food in a TV dinner.
