I liked the casual environment and good food. The coffee is typical diner coffee and your mug is never empty. the staff is friendly and efficient even if the snowbirds are cranky. I ordered my omelette with home fries and grits. Ima starch hound. Cheap, fast, and delicious.

We ate at the Blue Dolphin twice while on vacation. Both times we had to wait outside for a table. The first time it was pouring rain when we got there but there was a line of people it side so we figured it must be worth it. It was. Everything was great and the staff is very attentive.

Stopped for lunch with family. Served breakfast or lunch all day. Nice menu and good, attentive service. Great location on St. Armand's Circle. Liked it a lot.

My husband and I visited the Longboat Key and St Armand's Circle locations for breakfast. Both times we had excellent food and service. The French toast is really good with vanilla and cinnamon. The omelets are really large so take care when ordering. The menu says the eggs are from a local farm and seem quite fresh. Casual place with... More

Loved the breakfast burrito and corned beef. Very generous portions. We got there at 8:00 and got right in, but there was a line when we left.

We always return to the Blue Dolphin when visiting Sarasota for breakfast. food is excellent and plentiful. Always a wait but worth the time. Lots of little shops near by to help pass the time while waiting. Staff very pleasant and work as a team. Always meet friends here and have never felt rushed along. We will be back!

Great food, huge portions, nice wait staff, and little prices. I recommend this little diner! Always full, so it is worth a little wait!

If you're on St. Armand's Key, then have breakfast or lunch at the Blue Dolphin Cafe. You'll enjoy generous portions, friendly service and great coffee. There is often a wait to get in if you have a large group, but sit at the counter for a personal experience and enjoyable break from cooking.

This kind of an "old Florida" funky 60s kind of place but the food is good and a good value. They don't take reservations and the line really grows after 9 so get there early.

Been going here for years, it never disappoints. Yes there's a wait, (which is the only reason for a 4 not 5 atmosphere rating) but good things come to those who wait for this meal. The pancakes are light & fluffy, the omelets are large and stuffed full. The whole menu is packed full of deliciousness. The only misstep was... More
