Nice beach ambience, okay food and a good drink selection (including Guinness on tap). Had the mahi mahi sandwich, and it was okay. Should have tried the grouper sandwich. Good service, friendly atmosphere.

We stopped for lunch and were greeted by the friendliest server ever. Ask for Nicole and you will be well taken care of. The food was fresh and excellent. The Clam Chowder was the best. Highly recommended.

On a recent beautiful day, we decided to have lunch on the bar level outside deck. We ordered a cold pitcher of Sarasota's own JDub's Brewing Company IPA. Apparently they have a couple of new IPA's on draft, but out server Brittany recommended this brew. It's very good. The meal was started with a pound of steamed clams. They were... More

Shrimp po-boy and fish & chips; perfectly cooked, great taste, not to greasy Nice outdoor area but to many misters for me ( I wear glasses). Smoking on outdoor patio, ruins the experience if you do not smoke.

Our family ate at the Old Salty Dog on probably one of their busiest days of the year. (Dec 28) It was packed and they were running out of food at 7:00 pm. The waitress tried but she was overwhelmed and the food was very slow to get out of the kitchen. When it did, my son's steak was very... More

This was my first time but not the last. This restaurant is on the water and nothing fancy. The food was outstanding. I had the seafood gumbo and it was outstanding, probably the best I have ever had. I also had their peel and eat shrimp. It too was outstanding. A little messy but well worth it

Make sure that you try the batter dipped hot dog bites. If you are starting with an appetizer, I would recommend the shrimp poppers.

When we arrived the hostess was friendly and helpful. The wait for a table for 8 was not too long but once we got a table everything slowed down. After ordering our apps, we waited for over 40 mins to receive our first bits of food. After the apps it took over another 45 mins to receive our meals which... More

Menu pretty much the same year to year, food poor quality, service not great. Lots of other great restaurants to try, the on,y great thing about this one is outdoor seating and good sangria.

The menu is great. We ate buffalo wings and cheese sticks for starters and the creamy centre to the sticks is absolutely lovely. They do a very good fish and chips and when you have finished there is a bar to relax in.
