My husband and I decided to go to Pacific Rim for some suchi after we saw the glowing review it received in the Sarasota magazine, and also because it's in a cool area of the city. My son's orthodontist, whose inlaws have a house in Sarasota, recommended Pacific Rim to us. Sadly, I must say we were very disappointed. Anyone who thinks the sushi is very good, is, a bit misguided. Rolls of green onions and asparagus as part of a Spider Roll? Are you kidding? Food, service and ambience is outstanding. We spend much time in NYC and it could compete with any NY restaurant! Love their presentation. Service is warm and friendly. We eat there several times a month when we are in Sarasota. more

The food in this restarant is probably one of the best asian fusion experience on the east coast. I counted 5 sushi chefs and 5 stir fry chefs working all the time w/no breaks.
