You can always count on a good meal here. Not cheap, but worth it! My favorite place in Sarasota. Hat tip to Eddie the bartender.

Always reliable for a delicious authentic Italian meal with all special extra touches and very helpful service. You would have trouble matching this in Rome. Tables, with white table cloths, are pleasantly spaced so you can even enjoy conversation with your companion(s) while savoring the complex flavors of your special meal.
Grazie Daniel!!!! Thank you for being our favorite local restaurant and thank you for supporting my kids and our community. We are forever fans. Your generosity and heart only makes your already delicious food taste better. We feel like family at Mediterraneo.
My sister in law had the black linguine with shrimp and spicy tomato sauce-she is still raving about it. I had the duck with saffron mashed potatoes. I asked for mine medium rare, but it showed up well done. Overall, their food was true to Italian, and not disappointing. The ambience was relaxing. Totally reccommend
excellent variety of Italian dishes, change menu often, servers help with suggestions of foods and drinks.
Continental flavor. Nice menu assortment from unique pastas to excellent meat and poultry choices. Yuppe crowd, lively atmosphere. Parking a little difficult at times. Well-worth it. $$$.

The two of us ended up ordering three appetizers (sauteed calamari, bresaola with arugula and shaved parmesan, and eggplant with goat cheese) and two entrees (cappellini primavera and bucatini with braised lamb). We enjoyed...

Mid-week 6pm-no problem getting a table. By the time we left there was a line out the door. Service was very good--water glasses always filled. Eggplant tower and stuffed pepper were both delicious. Pasta with lamb and pasta special with filet mignon and mushrooms were both hits. Wine by the glass menu could have been more interesting but was adequate....
