Nice lunch stop

My wife and I were here for a very enjoyable lunch. Very Good service and food, excellent value. We have been here several times before, and always reliable. Now that prime tourist season is over, less crowded and no waiting!!

Once you manage to find a parking spot in a too small parking lot, the worst is over. The main entrance is in front of the fresh seafood market. If you can get past the strong aroma of fish (but why else would you be there) you are seated in the main part of the restaurant. It must be a... More

Been in past, satisfied BUT tonight ended our visits for sure. Looked forward to Baked Stuffed Fish I so enjoyed on previous visit....it arrived and appeared all dried up, waitress said that was how it always looked, nibbled through a bit..could not eat since so dry. I already had to have the teeny tiny baked sweet potato replaced as only... More

My parents enjoyed their meals and friendly quick service. They said they would return if in the area.

We went to Captain Brians on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. My wife had the lobster roll and I had the fried oyster plate. Both were good, and the baked potato cut into fried strips was excellent. It also had the best seafood chowder. the waitress was quite friendly and offered efficient service despite multiple questions from my wife. The... More

Came to visit family in Bradenton. Last time I went to Captain Brian's was 10 years ago and really enjoyed the Grouper Rueben. 10 years later and still delicious. Everyone in our party had a different Grouper plate and they were all good. Not one complaint from anyone. As for price, they were right in line with other restaurants for... More

Went in for a quick lunch with a friend. Ordered fish & chips. 2 small pieces of fried fish and cold, over cooked potato wedges. Would not return, nothing special about this place.

Wanted a seafood restaurant close to our hotel after a long day of outside activities. Seafood chowder was great! Prices were reasonable, staff friendly and helpful, grouper was great. Key lime pie was right up there. Classical guitarist playing music in dinning room area made this a nice night out.

We have had countless lunches over the years at Captain Brian's, and it's time to recommend this place if you want truly FRESH fish. I have had hog fish, grouper, halibut, pompano, etc. and every time the lunch entree is perfectly prepared. I do not like the "side" of black beans at all, but the salad bar is more than... More

dinners are a bit over-priced as are all seafood restaurants. Lunch is a decent value and the salad bar is adequate especially if you like herring bits and reasonably priced at $2.95 add'l with certain entrees. With fish entrees the salad bar is considered one of two side dishes available at no add'l cost. All the fish lunch plates or... More
