Homemade cooking for a reasonable price

We did take-out to take back to our rented home. I called in the order (menu is on-line) and went to pick it up. It was ready in less than 15 minutes! Fried chicken, mac & cheese, onion rings - and when I heard they were known for their pies? Well, you know we had to do that too! The... read more

The food, atmosphere, and service is exactly what you would expect, from a "cracker barrel" style Amish restaurant. Nothing amazing. Food is average, service is average...DEFINITELY NOT worth the wait, during season!

We only stopped to get a piece of pie as it was recommended to us by an ice cream server at Captain Curt's. My homemade pie is 10 times better-- I use Cortland apples, not canned apples! And my crust is flaky!

This is one of the best Amish restaurants and best restaurants in Sarasota. The food is very good quality, for home cook food. You can see and taste their quality. Very clean, and the service is is outstanding, we had Terri and Mary several times over a 3 week period, and they were always of smiles and so friendly, never... More

An Amish restaurant with a really different wholesome feel. Lots of food, country cooking in quiet atmosphere....cause people are eating. Friendly service and crowd. A meal to remember. Order small portions are huge.

When you ask me a question like, "Cake, or pie?" my answer will always be pie. I'll choose pie over almost anything else that might be offered for dessert. From Amish restaurants in the MidWest to some of the fanciest bakeries in large cities, I'm always up for trying what locals claim is a "good piece of pie". Yoder's restaurant,... More

Wow! My wife and In-laws visited Yoder's for the first time and all I can say is WOW! The food is delicious and plentiful! The Meatloaf was moist and tasty! The Pulled Pork was some of the best I have had and the pie's are wonderful! We had to buy a Blackberry pie to take home. Do not miss the... More

I'd you like the southern flair... This is definitely a place to go. Really like it. Try the country fried steak at least once... They are known for it.. And it truly is the best ever. Don't be afraid of the long wait lines... Just plan ahead. Saturdays are the busiest... Sundays closed.

I just moved to Sarasota today, and since it is my boyfriend's birthday, I wanted to surprise him with a pie. Unfortunately, having just moved in, I didn't have the energy to bake one at home like I normally would, so I asked the men who helped us move for suggestions for pie places; they instantly recommended Yoder's, and I... It's no wonder why that this place is such a favorite among the multitudes of palate-less tourists who travel here from the square states of the mid west. The food is exactly what they're used to. Tasteless! To be fair though, the staff was friendly, the place was clean and bright (really bright fluorescent lights) and the pies looked really... More
