The Yoder's market is FRESH crispy veggies. So, what to serve in the home-style cookin' Yoder's??? Canned green beans. Soft, squishy beans from a large can. Horrible, just horrible. Also, the Kitchen or the waitress thought putting freshly cooked fried okra on top of old cold and gummy once fried okra that sat in a dish was a good idea.... More

Thank you for leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear your experience was not a pleasant one. We do use canned green beans, yes. This is only because so many of our customers prefer them this way. However, we do offer a verity of other fresh sides that you can choose from as well. It is always our goal that... More

An Amish restaurant which serves huge portions of home made food. Lines are long and they do not accept reservations so along with a good appetite, bring patience because the wait can be trying. Breakfast is the meal you want at Yoder's. Cinamon rolls are the size of a small pizza, biscuits and gravy could easily feed two. The other... More

If you are a "meat and potatoes" person you will probably love Yoder's. We had a gift certificate so went for both dinner and breakfast recently. For dinner we both had meatloaf which was very good but much too much food. We just don't eat that way anymore. We returned for breakfast and enjoyed that very much. Even the coffee... More

Although all the meals are great here, I feel that their breakfast is like going home again growing up, as a child. Its food like my mom made. Its good its filling, and there is plenty of it. Only thing wrong with their breakfast is you will miss their world famous peanut butter pie.

Well, I've lived in Sarasota for 19 years now, not all that far from Yoder's. I've been in it twice. I really I'm committing heresy here, and life won't be worth two cents, but this is the place to go for high fat, high sugar, fried, unhealthy food. The taste? Nothing to go out of your way for. The pies... More

There's no booze. There's no wine or beer. There's not really a whole lot for diet-conscience folks. It's a caloric blowout that's worth the extra pounds. Breakfasts are huge, served piping hot, servings are beyond big. Grits, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, eggs, and much, much more. Dinners are also king-sized and prepared well. You won't find a lobster, don't look for... More

I have not been to Yoders since it changed hands. Under the former ownership the food was quite good and plentiful. However, I've heard from some that the quality dipped downward a bit with the new ownership. One thing visitors should know about Yoders, Dutch Heritage, and other large so-called Amish restaurants in Sarasota is that they operate by volume,... More

This Amish restaurant features comfort food approaching homemade. The food is decent and service is good. During "season" you can expect to wait for a table and I will leave it to you to decide if it's worth the wait. What it lacks in ambience, it makes up for with desert. Their pies are justifiably famous locally. You may want... More

Interesting to find Florida's version of Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. Excellent food, but in future visits we will order one meal for two people. Portions are huge and since we were traveling there was no way to take away leftovers. My daughter's fried chicken breast seemed bigger than her face! The crab cakes were the real deal, not frozen. Best cole... More
