We eat at Barnacle Bill's each time we visit Sarasota and love the food. We also took some friends there this month, who were very happy with their meals. Have had broiled sea scallops, stuffed trout, crab cakes, shrimp and seafood in pastry shell (can't remember exact name) and all were excellent. The house salad and bread are even great!... more

Terrible,bland food poor service terrible value for the money do not let crowds fool you just a watering hole at best,over rated crap food. more

You can't to go Englewood without visiting Barnacle Bills. It's been a popular spot since it's location on Englewood Beach many years ago. This small restaurant is worth the wait, and believe me you'll most likely be waiting. With a small bar and a TV or two enjoy the down-home Florida cooking or just some cold beer. Went a year ago, had a GREAT dinner for two special w/ a bottle of wine for I think about $40 or so. Everything about the place met or exceeded my expectations. Was told about this place by our hotel front desk. We've travelled to other coastal cities in Florida and nothing has matched our experience at this location of... more
