Description: This old fashioned, family owned coffee and ice cream shop is located in Captain Curt's Village a few hundred yards south of the Stickney point (south bridge). It is beside the bike and kayak rental shop. They are super friendly and have a gourmet coffee bar, fresh baked goods and 26 flavors of hand churned, homemade ice cream. It is my favorite local coffee shop! I've never left disappointed.

We ate ice cream here every night. We have been visiting siesta key for a few years now and discovered this place a few years back. Hands down the best ice cream I have had. The coffee ice cream was wonderful! There was a mistake ice cream flavor made, caramel and pecans or something, that mixed with the coffee ice... More

We vacationed in Siesta Key, Florida in June and we all loved walking over to The Orange Octopus for delicious ice cream. The six of us all had our own flavors. I loved the sea salt Carmel. One scoop is plenty and the sundaes are wonderful. They also sell cute orange octopus t-shirts. The people who work there are delightful... More

Great ice cream and wonderful flavors! We could walk their from our condo and did every night. A single scoop is a very large portion.

This place is really nice to go to because it is in walking distance of most condos and hotels near by. The ice cream/ coffee shop has so many fun flavors to choose from! The service was pleasant and helped us with a smile :) (by the way the cotton candy ice cream is awesome :)

There are three great places for some iced sweets on Siesta Key. This stands alone toward the South side of the key and you cannot go wrong. Great service, huge scoops - you only need one - and very high quality. I had not been here for several years and did not realize they now have indoor seating which is... More

If you stay on Siesta Key, and go to Captain Curt's or Sniki TIki, don't forget to go to the Orange Octopus for some delicious ice cream. I had my pineapple orange ice cream whipped into a milkshake. WOW!

I just discovered this ice cream parlor on Siesta Key today. What a fantastic place. The ice cream is great, but the hot fudge is to die for! For good old fashioned fattening ice cream, this is the place to go.

The ice cream was very tasty, the 1 scoop cup is enough even if you usually eat a lot. The staff is very polite and welcoming. There is plenty of choice for the flavors. A place not to be missed.

Great place to go for ice cream on Siesta Key! I had the Butter Pecan and my wife had the Salted Carmel Ice Cream. Every time we come down to Siesta Key we always have to stop in (at least once).
