This old fashioned, family owned coffee and ice cream shop is located in Captain Curt's Village a few hundred yards south of the Stickney point (south bridge). It is beside the bike and kayak rental shop. They are super friendly and have a gourmet coffee bar, 24 flavors of hand churned, homemade ice cream. It is my favorite local coffee shop! I've never left disappointed.

Quaint little handcrafted ice cream shop in Captain Curts Village. Honey Bourbon is to die for but lots of other great flavors. Love eating local on vacation. Definite stop.

The ice cream is very creamy and flavorful. You can really taste the flavors because they have bits and pieces of it in the ice cream.

Great local ice cream and coffee spot just feet from the beach. Good variety of flavors for kids and adults. A nice escape from the heat and humidity.

Wide selection of flavors and top quality! Great choice after lunch or dinner at Curt's next door. Good value, fun toppings and stuff for kids, plenty of flavor choices to keep the adults happy.

We sampled several of the flavors and if you like artisan hand made ice cream get here to get it. The staff works hard at letting you know about the product, and giving you a true representation of what it is. The place is clean and shares some local history. In my opinion it is the best on the island!

Have visited several times. Nice and clean, friendly. They make their own ice cream. Delicious! Be sure and try the Kentucky Honey Bourbon ice cream!

Last time I was in Siesta Key (2013), I liked the Orange Octopus, but I LOVED Big Olaf's. This time around I didn't even want to go to the Octopus, instead planning on spending a lot of time at Olaf's! But Olaf's just wasn't quite as good as I remembered it, so we wandered over to the Octopus for some... More

I have validated all other claims that the Salted Caramel (homemade no less) is ridiculously good. Others in the family equally raved about their frozen delicacy of choice; mint chocolate chip, strawberry shortcake, and dark chocolate. Try it once and you will return...no question.

We enjoyed Orange Octopus while staying directly across the street for a week in June 2015. After saving up loose change for ice-cream vacation money, our family ended up stopping here a total of 4 times during our stay. My daughters really loved the chocolate chip cookie dough, as well as red raspberry. I loved the chocolate peanut butter. I... More
