The concept was intriguing -- nuevo Peruvian -- and the menu descriptions were enticing, but every dish we had suffered from blandness and a lack of creative inspiration. The wine by the glass was not great, either: in fact, we nearly sent the pinot noir back because it tasted like they'd mistakenly given us a low-grade merlot. It was a... More

I liked the food. The presentation was good. Expensive for the amount of food you got. Ordering 2 side dishes and 2 appetizers and a bottle of wine, with tip was $250 for four people. Pricey, but a nice place to go for a special occasion.

We visited Sarasota recently and our friends chose this local restaurant for dinner. Our reservation was for 7:30 on a Saturday Night. As we walked in, there was a band playing, which was a little loud. I thought this would definitely interfere with conversations over dinner. We were seated right away, and I was relieved that our table was in... More

This restaurant teeters on our 'worth a revisit' list. Gastropubs are small, intimate and personal experiences. You walk into to this dark cavern and immediately know that the term is being loosely used. Kudos for the live music; it was appropriate for the cuisine and yet not overpowering for conversation. What this restaurant excels in is it's commitment to fresh... More

Unfortunately I will never return to this restaurant, which I used to enjoy. Between the barely present service, tiny portions and so-so food I was incredibly disappointed. We were overcharged twice on the bill and treated rudely by the staff. The entire experience was awful.

I have only been here once and it was for a friend's wedding reception and the food was fabulous! We were only served bits and pieces from their menu, but everything that was offered tasted amazing! I am not too sure about the prices, but I will make it a point to revisit this place!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend I play golf with. Took a chance for my wife's birthday. Very pleased. The young gentleman that served us, Antonio, was very helpful with recommendations, all good. Our appetizers, Mixed Ceviche, Beef Ceviche, and the Wahoo Tira (recommended) were really good. Entrees were the Veggie Entree, Duck, Short Ribs, and the... More

Nice atmosphere and spread out. Went for dinner March 6 with another couple. We are residents of Sarasota. If you sit at the bar forget about conversing. The music by the stage performer was overwhelming . Why must music be played so loud ? Truthfully, I don't get it. No one likes yelling to converse. The waitress was very sweet... More

This is probably the most beautiful, most ritzy and finest restaurant and brewpub I have ever had the pleasure of dining in! They have valet parking if you wish to get dressed up and wear your strappy high heels. Or if you are like me and prefer to park your own car there is plenty of nearby parking in public... More

Each time my husband and I have gone to Darwin's on 4th we have never been failed. We are always greeted by the the staff with friendly "hello's" and smiles. We never have to ask for a refill or get our waiters attention if we need anything because they are always alert and on top of things! I always try... More
