Description: Big Water Fish Market opened its doors on 11/11/11 at 11am with owner Scott Dolan at the helm. We are near the south bridge on Siesta Key in the Crescent Beach Shopping Center next to Siesta Spirits liquor store. We are a retail fish market that specializes in fresh, wild, Florida seafood and we also offer a simple but delicious casual dining menu. We were voted "Best Grouper Sandwich" on the island in 2013 and we serve fresh, made-to-order meals until 6:45pm on weekdays and until 6:00pm on Saturdays and it's always BYOB! Come in and try a Seafood Steampot with crab legs, shrimp, clams, mussels, potatoes and corn on the cobb or any of our other great selections. We offer our customers the freshest fish, seafood, and produce available in a clean boutique style market. In addition, we carry a variety of specialty spices, sauces, and products to compliment your seafood. If you ever want something that we don't have in stock, just let us know and we will make some calls. In most cases we can get it to you the next day. Whether you live here or you're visiting beautiful Siesta Key, please visit the Big Water Fish Market for all your FRESH seafood needs!

Very friendly service, freshest fish in the area. Fun because it is BYOB!!!!! Fish caught that morning is on your plate that day. Our family couldn't have been happier.

Feel foolish as this place has been here for 3 years and we've only just found it. Essentially a fish shop where you can buy freshly caught local fish as well as salmon from Ireland, etc. The twist is that they cook you what you buy in a variety of simple ways that mean you really taste how great the... We not only ate here, we picked up fresh fish daily and cooked them in our room! The best meals ever! The staff was very polite and well informed, even giving tips on how to prepare the fresh fish. The best was the fresh scallops and the fresh triple tail, both were delicious! I took the scallops back to our... More

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this place while visiting Siesta Key. Mostly a fish market, but they will cook you a great meal and you can BYOB. Nothing is fried at this place and the staff is very friendly. We ate there twice, and both times I had the stone crab which was fantastic. Husband had grilled fish,... More

Bought the gumbo and took it home for dinner for my wife and I. We agreed it is AMAZING! It has so much flavor! Good thing we bought enough for lunch tomorrow too!

Visiting friends on Siesta Key who raved about the fish in this market. Looked online and saw they had a few picnic tables to eat on, so we decided to come down and have a casual early dinner. It was Taco Tuesday (3 tacos instead of 2) and there was fresh gumbo. One of the guys spotted a piece of... More

While staying in the fishing village of Cortez, FL, and sampling the food in their restaurants, we took a drive down to Sarasota to check out Big Water Fish Market. They were ranked #8 out of 831 restaurants in Sarasota, so they must be really good. We almost passed them by, as they are located in a small shopping plaza... More

Simple, fresh and done to perfection. The staff is very knowledgeable about seafood. Bring your bottle of wine from next door. If you are a premadona....don' t go.

We had a very good meal of fresh fish"corvina" and steamed broccoli. Sebastian was very helpful in ordering. The atmosphere is super casual, picnic tables to sit at if eating in house or you can get your fresh fish to take home and cook it up for dinner.

We ate here twice during the week we were on Siesta Key. The three of us tried several different dishes and all were very good. They only do fish. They have a dine in menu or will sell fresh seafood to you for you to cook at home. They know their fish.
