We've eaten here twice and both times the food was oustanding. The wild mushroom bisque is terrific and could be a meal by itself and all the fish dishes are unique and flavorful. The snapper is oustanding as is the cobia and sturgeon. We sat at the bar in a small and intimate room in the back of the main... More

We were disappointed at the insensitive service and the food quality. The hamburger was more than well done and was overly peppered. The cobia was fishy but good fish, The food was not prepared as expected. I would not recommend at this time. The ambiance and the atmosphere on the inside of the restaurant was very nice.

Visited for lovely dinner with my husband. We had the "Hook to Fish" and Plentiful and Abundant Fish specials -- both delicious!! We also tried the Parmesan Beignets, which I did not care for (they seemed underdone in the center, which my husband thought was a filling?). The inside seating was a bit too dark, but the food was well... More

This is a real 'foodies' restaurant. Freshest ingredients. Healthy (if you want). Serves beer and wine only, it's definitely the food that matters here. Lots of fresh fish dishes, one better than the next, not overpowered by too many accompaniments. Looking forward to returning, best meal of a three week stay in Sarasota. Great, informative staff who made our big... More

Ususlly, when I am served food that is nicely plated, I know that the chef takes pride in his art. This place is no exception. Wonderfully, fresh selections, lovingly prepared and well worth visiting. I highly recommend it!

We were excited to go try this restaurant but when we got there the menu said No Substitutions. We understand that but we were not allowed to leave something off the plate either. This is not a place if you have any dietary issues (i.e. avoid bacon, dairy). There was a vegetarian dish available. We ate inside. The restaurant was empty... More

My wife and I came in after some happy hour drinks at a hotel, so we were not starving when we arrived. We decided on three small plates and to split the short ribs. The mushroom bisque and cobia crudo (unusually prepared but delicious sushi) were outstanding. The fig and pecan salad was tasty and fresh but not quite in... More

There are a lot of good restaurants in Sarasota, but right now this is my favourite. Very different menu, with interesting flavours and combinations.

Parmesan beignets with a honey/pear sauce melted in our mouths - and they were the starters, but also would have made a lovely dessert. When we sat down, we were greeted with crispy, flavorful, handmade thyme crackers. Dinner in this lovingly restored old Florida style house in Towles Court is a delight from start to finish.

This location has hosted more than one restaurant over the last 5 years, and I hope this one stays a while. I had wild-caught Gulf shrimp with okonomyaki, a scrumptious Japanese egg-and-cabbage concoction that's a signature dish of Hiroshima. Since it's hard to find in the US, I couldn't resist and I'm glad I didn't. While not quite as tasty... More
