We had the pleasure of eating in this delightful Restaurant tonight with friends. The food was excellent and so was the service. We sat outside which was most pleasant. Please do book well in advance as it is difficult to get a table with short notice. This is our first visit but I can assure you we will be back.... More

The setting is just lovely, and the service was good. The menu is well presented, inventive, and the food is locally sourced and fresh. But if you have dietary restrictions, this is not the place for you. They will not revise the dishes in any way. I'm on a sodium restricted diet. Salad dressing or sauces on the side? Nope.... More

This is a seriously good restaurant -- takes itself seriously, and delivers as promised, without totally breaking the wallet for this level of quality and service. The setting is modest -- (a small cottage, a few blocks south of downtown Sarasota -- but the seating is quite comfortable and the noise level is fine (there's outdoor seating too). The menu... You have to love Sarasota's sense of humor for many reasons and one I always get a laugh at is where the best restaurants are located, and thankfully for once, this is NOT in a strip mall:) A restored home in the artistic section of town, (we have many hidden sections of town:) it is charming, quiet, relaxing with a... Sit outside on the lovely patio or enjoy eating in one of the intimate indoor dining areas. Either way you will be pleased with attentive service and innovative delicious food. The menu may be limited but everything is so good that even the pickiest eaters will find something they enjoy. The wild mushroom bisque is awesome and their Cobia in... More

We had learned of this spot doing research for a trip to the sunny South and decided to make a reservation. I'm happy to report that it lived up to its' good reputation! Set in an old plantation style home, we dined outside in a candlelit environment which set the stage for a promising evening. My husband and 2 teenage... More

Consistently excellent food. The mushroom bisque and pork belly lomein were simply delicious. So good that one is us ordered a second cup of the bisque. Even the least expensive wines are good choices (and not found on super market shelves) Very good service, delicious food at reasonable prices; what's not to like. And it is easy to park.

Ate here after a day baseball game- too last minute to get a reservation, ate at the bar. Amazing food and great service- treated just like we were at a table with dishes cleared & filled water glasses. Food was excellent- mushroom soup was the best and the gooey cake for dessert was really different.

The small but incredibly creative menu at Indigenous makes it difficult to decide what to eat, but each of our appetizers and entrees was remarkable. The fact that all of the fish and other ingredients are sustainable and largely local, combined with a charming environment where it is easy to carry on a conversation, along with an affordable wine list...
