Sometimes I think that word may be used lightly when describing a favorable experience. I assure you that is not the case with this review. We were with some friends in the seafood business and enjoyed a dinner that featured trigger fish. This was truly a delicacy, expertly prepared and enhanced by excellent service. Steve, the owner, came by and... More

So happy to find a restaurant close to me that understands the importance of sourcing and lets the availability of ingredients dictate the menu Great plates of food from the chef, his vision, his personality. It was refreshing to go out for a dining experience in this part of Florida and not be asked; do I want to add this... More

A local merchant recommended this restaurant. We ate in their wine bar/room. It was great. My husband and I ordered different fish dishes. They were very accomodating to my onion allergy. The wine we chose was also very good and reasonable. Our server was attentive and we will definitely go back our next time in the Sarasota area.

We arrived for a birthday dinner. The overall look and feel on the outside is quaint and old Florida. The inside and interior is modern minimalist. The tables as spaced quite a distance apart. Very nice and upscale, the contrast from the outside is nice and warming. The wine selection was good, we ended up choosing a pretty user friendly... More

Indigenous provides a unique menu: healthy, vegetarian dishes to double decker burgers which should satisfy everyone's palate. I has a snapper special which was phenomenal. My guests each had the burgers and loved them. Most importantly, the wait staff us exceptional. I can't recall our server's name. She was invisible!! Our wine glasses were filled and meals served magically. She... More

This close to downtown property is a renovated home with a really cool and neat atmosphere. The cobia was outstanding while the other guests seemed to really enjoy the Uncles Burger. This was a really neat experience.

We've been to Indigenous at last 4-5 times in the last 6-8 months and every time it seems to get better. It's reasonably priced and the staff is terrific. This is gourmet dining at its best with incredible combinations of seasonings and cutting edge techniques. Their wine list is terrific and reasonably priced, but even more impressive is their staff.... More
