A warm welcome to Dolce Italia, celebrating our fourth anniversary. Four years ago we opened with the dream of creating a little gathering place to enjoy good food and good company. You have helped us realize our dream, and we wish to thank you by providing our very best hospitality, ambiance and flavor. We came here from Ischia, Italy to share our passion for creating wholesome Italian Cuisine from our own family traditions. In return, you made us feel like a part of a big happy family here, so we don't miss our Ischia so much. My father created the sculpture of the enchanted Castle Aragonese on our wall to remind us of the beautiful place we were born and raised. Over the last four years, our dreams have come true. We remember each of our customers with fondness, we enjoy every evening that you spend with us, and we feel very lucky to have such a wonderful family of patrons. Very Good Dining Experience

No problem parking and we were seated quickly with no reservations. The host and waiters were very friendly, attentive but not too chatty. We visited Dolce after spending the day at The Ringling Circus Museum. When we first pulled up I was not impressed...but don't let the building fool you! They serve homemade pasta that is delicious, you will not be disappointed. The owner visited our table and recommended the Seafood Linguine - WOW, I loved it. The staff is cordial, attentive and... We live in Sarasota and recently discovered Dolce Italia through Tripadvisor reviews. Since that time we have returned and taken friends three times. We also selected this restaurant for a quiet anniversary dinner in July. Each visit has been a delight. The small dining room is charming. The staff is very cordial. Our food has been unfailingly delicious. The seafood... More

Visited restaurant with my family. Tomato salad made with supermarket rubbery tomatoes. Mozzarella cheese used in salad was bland. Lackluster wild boar ragu and gave us bread you could buy at Publix. Veal was mediocre, sauce had no zing. Restaurant appears to not use fresh ingredients. Waiters too pushy. Nothing like food from Naples. Have visited Naples and food experience... More

My Wife and I along with our 19 year old Daughter had dinner at Dolce tonight. We were in the mood for a nice Italian dinner away from the chain options; this was a very good choice it turned out. This is a very small single room restaurant with about 15 tables in a strip type shopping area. It's not... More

This is 3rd visit to this establishment over several years and we were not disappointed. We noted that they had moved over one street into a new, small facility. This small family run restaurant cooks Italian dishes from their native region in Italy. They have triangular pasta that is a house specialty and my wife got that which was marvelous.... More

We love this place. Small, cozy, delicious food, professional attentive service, nice wine selection, Owners, Italian family, always present. Fresh Italian bread, tasty appetitizers, home made pasta, wonderful sauces, nice size portions, priced appropriately. Easily one of the top three best meals we have had this year. You won't be disappointed.

We went to Dolce Italia with high expectations because of the reviews we had read on Trip Advisor. Our group consisted of 9 which makes it difficult to form a consensus. Overall, we enjoyed the simplicity of the ambiance and we felt the waiter service was very good. However, the dishes got mixed reviews. One individual returned her grouper dish... More

We have been there at least a half dozen times with a variety of friends, probably totaling 20 persons. We have all enjoyed each meal there. Dolce serves simple, but delicious Italian food. The owners are always there and are friendly and hospitable. The servers are serious about providing a quality experience. There are good wines on the wine list.

This place deserves the high ratings. Rare opportunity to have delicious home made pasta. Added some homemade sausage that made it even better.
