Really like a more North Florida, in the sticks type Fish Camp, 'crept its right next store to the Burns Court Artsie Cinema ? Very good choice for a nice get together type meal, especially if you're able to sit outside. Not that the interior isn't fun, mind you... First off, I probably would go for the Fried Green Tomato's... More

Our host recommended this spot for a Friday night dinner. We arrived around 9PM and the place was very busy. We were willing to sit at the bar and so did not have to wait. My boyfriend had the New England Clam Chowder and I ordered the fish and chips. As a NE native, my boyfriend was very pleased with... More

Has an old world feel to it and the entrees are very good. A meal for two will round out around $40 without wine. In the Burns court area and the theatre is next door. I noticed one troubling thing about the staff, however, they tend to talk down and roll their eyes when helping senior citizens. Several others noticed... More

In easy walking distance from our B&B, we thoroughly enjoyed our open-air fish camp dining experience! We chose two of the three selections for Fish of the Day, one blackened, one grilled, and four sides which we shared. All were fresh and delicious. We tried to choose sides that were somewhat unique...loved the cheesy grits, collard greens, and black eyed... More

I had to return, we were there last year and was very impressed with Owens. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great. For starters the Grilled Giant Prawns are fabulous. We were disappointed in the Crab Legs as they put heavy spices on them, ruining the delicate flavor of the Crab, altho is was not made that way... More

This is my first review on trip advisor and unfortunately it's a bad one. We went 10 minutes after 9pm to catch a late dinner. We walked in, saw others were still eating dinner and we were seated. We ordered and received our wine, and as we were browsing the menu the waitress told us we had to hurry because... More

Not far south of Main Street is the cute area of Burns Court with some quaint old buildings and the quirky but very welcoming Owens Fish Camp. This is a very popular restaurant in down town Sarasota and it doesn't take bookings... unless you are a party of six then for some magic reason you can book. Great food and... More

It's worth the wait--food is really good, parking is really bad, service is good, Very crowded where ever you sit--but I'll go back $$
