We walked into Owens unaware that it was an experience beginning with the wait...searing in the garden, music and drinks and munchies. However we skipped the long wait by finding seats near the bar and dined on fantastic dinners, fresh fish and southern hospitality!

The tone was set early by a callous front end who took particular delight in reminding us that we simply had not waited long enough to merit a table and their i-pad was the proof. It was suggested we might try the bar table but there chaos reigned as patrons edged each other aside for an open space. "Sorry Buddy."... More

Owens opens at 4PM and that is a great time to go as it fills up fast! The service is excellent and the the food is also. There is parking on site but only if you go early. Beer and wine only. Very fun atmosphere- the look of a fishing camp. Great oysters, crab and everything else!

Very different for a Sarasota artsy town. Parking is a big issue but once you are settled in you feel like your outside the city in old Florida. Love the Naked Fish and oysters. Would recommend for all ages.

I come here every single time I'm in town and I cannot recommend this place enough. Great food and service. The fish spread is a must and everything on the menu is a must try. Great atmosphere when quiet as much as when busy. Enjoy! Cheers!

Fish Camp doesn' take reservations so we left our names and were told 45 minutes. 25 minutes later we got a text that our table was ready. We started with oyster sliders and moved on to softshells, mussels and crab cakes, and finished with a key lime bar and pecan pie. The food was fabulous, as was the wine, and... More

To visit this "campy" casual spot hidden away on a side street in Sarasota. Fresh fish cooked perfectly, along with fantastic sides showcasing the best of the south, can be found in this fun, lively joint filled with locals. Alongside fresh catches prepared in a variety of ways, gumbo, jambalaya, dirty rice and garlicky string beans are only some of... More
