What a diamond!

First time at OFC. We were not disappointed. Due to some reviews, we were concerned about the long wait. Put our name in, got our drinks quickly plus a order of oysters. Sat outside and got the oysters quickly. Large and tasty Bluepiints. Got seated in about 30 minutes. Our waitress Cecelia was... read more

A visual maze of trees, birds, antiques, and eccentric types. Long wait is worth it. There's a charmingl where you can wait and have a drink. The service is great, food is delicious, atmosphere is fun and funky with indoor or outdoor seating, gardens and arbors. Po' Boy Sandwich was a heaping Mahi Mahi sandwich served with fries. Gumbo was... More

Have always wanted to experience Owen's Fish Camp so finally took the opportunity to celebrate a birthday here. It's high season so we arrived early at 5:30 and were able to be seated immediately. Service was extraordinarily friendly and we did not feel rushed. Our server gave us time to make up our minds and was very patient. My gumbo... More

We were told we would like this but were a bit skeptical due to all of the fired food. Not so!!!! This was one of the most fun times my wife and I have had. Great foo (oysters to die for - fried and fresh). The fish my wife had was just caught. Companionship at the high tables was an... More

Owen's Fish camp is a find and one of the most interesting restaurants we've been to in a long time. The only drawback is the long wait for a table. Thinking to beat the crowds we arrived at 5:00 p.m. (they open at 4 p.m.) only to be told there would be a 30-45 minute wait. By the time we... More

I really wanted to like this place and tried it several times thinking maybe the last time I caught them on a bad night. Each time, we left disappointed with the food and service. A couple of times we were asked to wait even though there were tables open. The hostess was busy chatting with the servers and didn't seem... More

Six of us made plans to meet for dinner at Owen's Fish Camp last night. We reserved a table for 8:15pm and got there right on time. Our table was not ready, so we decided to have a cocktail while we waited. The place is very relaxed and inviting given its fishing camp atmosphere. The backyard is awesome -- porch... More

We come here every time we visit Sarasota. The place has a great atmosphere and very good food. Feels like a bayou hangout but the food is better - a little spicy, lots of seafood but other choices too. Sometimes can be crowded but it's in a great neighborhood and well worth the wait.

We went here with another couple on a Thursday night. The place is on a side street in an older section of Sarasota, very quaint. We waited about 1/2 hour for a table but by the time our meal was done the wait time was upwards of TWO HOURS ! The place was mobbed and we were told by locals... More

My sister, a native of Sarasota, said this is a must dine at location. There are many choices in town, but this has a super decor, ample menu, and great food. Busy busy place also. Don't miss it.
