A real old Florida experience downtown

Great portions, good prices, excellent value.

Owens fish camp is very hard to review, it has only a handful of tables, they don't take reservations and their call ahead program is weak at best. We waited for 2 hours to be seated, even after we called ahead by 30 minutes, the service was bad and the drinks were inferior to other establishments, I have to admit... More

This is an excellent fish restaurant in the centre of Sarasota very popular with residents and visitors you cannot book ahead and as a result you might have to wait awhile but it is well worth it and there is a pleasant out door area to sit in and have a drink. Staff ate friendly And helpful and there is... More

We were sent here by the staff at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. We asked for a casual place with great food and it lived up to expectations. Very casual...beer and wine, shorts, flip flops no problem. The food was excellent. We had the mini lobster rolls served on a slightly sweet roll, fried green tomato salad with warm goat cheese.... More

Wonderful little place with simply great fresh seafood and sides. We loved that you could get a cheap bottle of good wine for $20. The service was super and we can't wait to go there again when we next return the Sarasota area.

The Caragiulo's nailed it with their seafood concept restaurant in Burns Court area of Sarasota. Owen's Fish Camp is not only in a very cool location but also has outstanding food at reasonable prices. I love the fried catfish and we most always order their selection of fresh oysters on the half shell. We are longtime Sarasota locals who rate... More

At the recommendation of a friend who travels from Tampa to eat at Owen's, we decided to stop by at 4:30 on a Monday. We were seated in a near-empty dining room but filled up almost entirely within 30 minutes. The clam chowder is probably the best I ever had (besides my own recipe). The jambalaya and black grouper were... More

Casual, old-Florida atmosphere. The seafood was well prepared and fresh. Don't miss the backyard lounge with music.

This is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Sarasota and we recently came back from another great meal along with some friends. This place is tucked into Burns court as part of a repurposed old house and can be hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. Parking is minimal at best and we almost always park... More
