Favorite Florida Fish Camp

One of the best kept secrets in Sarasota is Owen's Fish Camp. Tucked away on Burns Ct. next to the Burns Court Cinema, parking onsite is tight, but plenty of on street parking is just around the corner. Always bustling, reservations are ONLY accepted for parties of 6. Table turnover is steady, and... read more

Eclectic atmosphere and awesome food. Save your money for this meal - it's not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for here. The food is INCREDIBLE! If you're a bit adventurous and at least 21, try the oyster shooters. I loved it! Spicy, but good and fun! If you want to relax out back, they have a porch swing... More

Everything seafood in the coolest of atmosphere. Having to wait for a table is a plus. Go through restaurant and sit in fish camp area with a cold beverage. Live music common while you sit in lawn chair and relax.

After some not so good seafood restaurants in Sarasota which had been advertised heavily online, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The decor is rustic with a lot of charm. The waitresses are friendly, lively and very efficient. The food is excellent and very fresh. My daughter and I ate 3 dozens fresh oysters on the half shell. We... More

Gumbo soup was good, oyster shooters always good, service good, clams and mussels were good over pasta.. The oysters were the best we ever had, they better be at $24 for a dozen. The naked fish to me was below average and worth about $8. I believe we paid $28. There was no price on the menu and sold at... More

Went to Owen's on a hunch.....I should always trust my hunches, it was amazing! Menu is cool and great choices. Staff were great, atmosphere is wild and fun but doesn't get short sold by the food. Would go nightly if I lived there! No Reservations so plan on a wait, place gets crazy busy!

One of the best seafood restaurants I've been to. Casual and great service. Gumbo, crab cakes, seafood platter and apple pie to top it off. All were perfect. Make sure to have some fire roasted oysters while waiting for your table in the back yard.

So glad we decided to give Owen's a shot this year! This will be one of our must-do's for any future trips to Sarasota! What a cute place. Not too big, tucked away on a side street in the artsy section of Sarasota. From what I saw, the inside looked cute, but we absolutely had to sit outside, on the... More
