Try the sea scallops !

After checking out Trip Advisor we decided to go for a very early supper. After sightseeing we arrived at 3:40. They opened 10 minutes early and within a half hour were full. Service is fast . Food is wonderful. The decor is funky and fun but the sea scallops with braised pork and succotash over... read more

I highly recommend having dinner here. As soon as the door opened you could smell the seafood cooking. Everything we ate was delicious. And the orders that passed by our table looked and smelled delicious. We had stone crab, grouper, shrimp, and pork all at our table and it was all good. Service was great, owner was helping and walking... More

That was my wife's comments after we recently ate at Owen's Fish Camp. For the past 10 years, we have been coming to Sarasota to spend part of our winter. We have eaten at many restaurants over the years but my wife went further in her comments about Owen's Fish Camp saying "this is the best restaurant I have eaten... More

The grouper was outstanding. This is a special place. Not rebuilt with glitter, it reminds me of why I fell in love with Florida so many years ago. Plan on getting there early as it gets crowded.

This place was recommended by the local hotel staff. I see why. It's a one of a kind place decorations-wise. The food is really good and seafood is their specialty. Oysters are fresh and delicious. We ate at the bar bc the restaurant was packed and the wait was 30 minutes. The crowd is vibrant. The waitstaff are very friendly.... More

It opens at the odd hour of 4:00 and everything else about this place is charmingly off the beaten path. The seafood choices are extensive but not expensive. The service was attentive and friendly. This was the best meal that we had in Sarasota and possibly the best soft shell crabs I have ever had. And of course the Burns... More

Went for my birthday and Brittany took great care of us. Both my dad and I tried different fish and different sides and everything was outstanding. We are excited to return

I love bringing people visiting Sarasota here. It is fun, energetic, youthful and the food and atmosphere are great. Hanging out in the backyard, listening to hillbilly music, eating appetizers drinking if you choose while you wait for your table. It can be noisy but never been a problem. Can't get fresher fish!!! Love this place.

Our visit here will be long remembered for the cloudburst that happened just as we were getting ready to park the car. Walked several blocks in a downpour. Not much available parking. Lovely atmosphere. Outdoor seating available. Call ahead please. The food was crazy good! I was mesmerized by the grits in all of it's goodness! Don't miss it!

This is restaurant is so much fun! We went on a Friday night and there was an hour and a half wait to be seated. It was totally worth the wait time. There is a bar and "camp" area where you can hang out while you wait for a table. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed and the food... More
