Very Good Authentic Peruvian Food

My wife and I and another couple had dinner at the Peruvian Grill. Waitress was very welcoming and capable with good service. Food was very good especially the ceviches.

There is no shortage of Peruvian restaurants in Sarasota/Bradenton. Our favorite, Darwin's, just closed. We now have a new favorite. The Peruvian Grill provided us with a excellent dining experience. Good food, large portions , reasonable prices and great service; what more can you ask for? Amongst our party we had fresh fish, paella, skirt steak and even a tamale... More

Three adults, two small children, no alcohol: $63.00 plus tip! So not worth it. My mother-in-law's $21.00 meal was nothing more than my basic pot roast. My $17.00 Peruvian fried rice with beef was comparable to a pint of Chinese fried rice I buy all the time for $8! Drab, boring atmosphere was free.

My son was visiting and he likes exotic food as does my wife, so they outvoted me and we went to the Peruvian Grill. I will admit I tend to like things I can recognize, so I sort of nibbled. They began with some appetizer special which featured a variety of items. They decided to include Anticuchos which was a... More

Place had a friendly vide and good service, but food quality needs major improvement. I tried ceviche, which was just awful and I could not finish it. My wife had grilled Covina fish, which was too greasy. Later at night I was awaken with stomach pain, which was definitely related to that cebiche.

Overall we were a bit disappointed because our dishes lacked real flavor. Our expectations were high considering all the excellent reviews. We shared an appetizer-Mashed Potatoes filled with ground beef which was lightly fried in the shape of a oversized ball. Nice tasting but just lacked that essence of seasoning and flavor. My wife ordered their Peruvian version of Arroz... More

The multi-ethnic influences of true Peruvian cooking are wonderfully on display in this hidden away location at Clark and Beneva. A family operation with flavors and presentation to make the other Peruvian and "fusion" contenders green with envy. Available beers and wines perfectly compliment the menu. Be adventurous. Try the beef heart and fish offerings. Do ask if grandma's chocolate... More

This is the second time we have driven close to 100 miles to come down to Sarasota and have dinner here. The place is outside of the city in a strip mall and not too easy to find, but it is well worth finding it. There are only about 15 tables... The food is genuine Peruvian and all made from... More

The tiny, almost deserted strip mall doesn't inspire confidence, but their food is delicious and well priced. I had never had Peruvian food before, but will return, even though we live in Palm Harbor now. The service is always good and the food beyond excellent. I highly recommend it, don't pass it up. Usually I'm a grouch in my evaluations,... More

Small restaurant in non descript strip mall. Dark with around 10 or so tables. We were the only ones there but it was 3PM. Food was totally amazing. My wife is from Colombia and almost never likes the rice anywhere but she loved it here. The food was outstanding. We both had fish and it was perfect. I had some... More
