Peruvian Grill's Corvino is EXCELLENT!

Being on a diet and watching my carbs and fat makes going out to dinner difficult. We decided to my celebrate my birthday we would try once again the Peruvian Grill. We were not disappointed. From the outside this place looks "iffy," and we were not sure even when we got inside. However, after talking to the waiter we decided to take the chance. WOW!!! The appetizer was awesome - roasted nuts Peruvian style. The food came and it was amazing too and it was even presented like a much nicer chef would plate dishes.... More

Small 10-top place next to Greek rest. Other diners had reservations, but not that busy yet for 530Pm Sun. (Whatever their dessert was btw looked fantastic as 3 diners spooned into it.) Wait staff excellent. Had the loma sotano (sp) beef dish which carbed out with fries and white rice holding down opposing sides of the plate. Expertly prepared and... More

Steak, mussels and shrimp in a yellow pepper cream sauce . Platations, yucca, rice. Outstanding! We had an appetizer of ground beef and potatoes, thinly sliced red onions in a lime dressing....everyone in our party had a scrumptious meal. Can't wait to go back

Went here for lunch. It was the second visit. Food took a while to come out of the kitchen but it was hot and delicious when it hit the table. Grilled corvina was flavorful, excellent texture and very well prepared. The special was a pesto past with grilled steak. Tons of flavor, tender steak. Atmosphere lacks a little something but... While visiting a friend in Sarasota he took us to the Peruvian Grill. The restaurant is small but comfortable. It reminded me of the numerous "huecos" I visited while living in Peru. These "huecos" can be the front room of a residence with tables and delicious dishes. Often with a line to get in. Due to the late time of... More

My husband and I loooove Peruvian food. We have frequented Selva Grill and Inkantu and had pleasant experiences at both but the food has never wowed us and we always leave those restaurants missing our Miami fave Pollo y Jarras. We decided to give Peruvian Grill a try after several friends recommended it and we were blown away by the... More

Peruvian restaurants have had a hard time of recent in Sarasota but tiny Peruvian Grill, almost invisible in one of the many generic strip malls of Sarasota seems to prevail. No wonder. The kitchen delivers fully-flavored, generously sized plates of hearty Peruvian classics. To name a few: one of the area's best ceviches (available as appetizer or in quasi-Moby Dick... More

The food was really good and the prices were fair. We had Jalea and the plate was big enough to feed two people. The Lomo a lo macho was very tasty and the Yuca a la Huancaina was delicious. Definitely recommend it.

Corvina is a fish that is synonomous with Peruvian restaurants. Whether you have Corvina in ceveche or as a main course...it is melt in your mouth perfect. . Plaintains are carmellized and are a feast for your tongue. The Lomo Saltado is tender and tasty....as a matter of fact, we have had over half the dishes on the menu and... More
