Great spot to relax and believe that you are on a tropical island somewhere else

Yes, the food is average. It is nothing fancy, rough and rustic, picnic tables/benches in the sand - nothing wrong with that! Some reviewers claim 'weak drinks' -- my wife said the same thing about her first mai tai - she was 'singing' a different tune after her second drink. 5 bartenders were... read more

If you are looking for a nice little place for a beverage on the water, O'Leary's is a good choice. Bartenders are really attentive (at least the day we were there) and the prices are what you would expect to pay to drink on the water. We ordered some nachos, and they really weren't stellar, so we weren't too quick... More

This is what Florida is all about. A nice place to gather with friends, have a beer and enjoy the sunshine. Good beer selection, good place. Anytime again.

This restaurant is by the water, but was extremely loud and crowded. You must go to the counter to order your meal and then pick it up when your buzzer goes off. We opted to take the meal out and we sat in the park on a bench. We just ordered BLTs, and they were OK, but not great. We... More

I think my title says it all.......and what's wrong with that...Sarasota has something for everyone.... Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

When you are on the waterfront in downtown Sarasota near Marina Jack's you must experience O'Learys. Good food, some local fish, good burgers, live music and great outside dining in shade if you wish over looking the bay.

I live in Sarasota and have been to O'Leary's several times. Each time the drinks were watery and weak, the food is nothing but fried stuff and sandwiches, and they do not have servers for any of it. For such a great location, view, and ambiance they could do so much better for their customers. This is a prime location... More

I'm a concierge with Hilton Worldwide, and whenever a guest asks for a recommendation, O'Leary's is my first choice. The factor that makes this place truly special, is its unique location in downtown Sarasota! The drinks are great, the food is good too (but nothing gourmet or anything like that) This place has always got live music, and scenic views.... More

Right on the water at the Bayfront in Sarasota. Food is good - mostly sandwiches. Picnic table seating inside under cover and outdoor seating picnic tables and seating at the bar. Sometimes they have live music. Great place to have a cold beer and enjoy the view, especially at sunset.

Check their sched for live music. Fully wheelchair accessible. Don't expect haute cuisine, expect good, simple food--the blackened cod sandwich was so good I got it twice. The fish wrap was excellent. Fries are piping hot and abundantly served. Not much for beer selection on tap, but they're priced very reasonably for Sarasota waterfront. Their music is down-to-earth, not-too-loud, fun... More
