We visited here since they have the Savor Sarasota deals going on. The deal does not save you much money since their regular menu already includes an appetizer. Either way, we went for the savor Sarasota menu and had the onion soup, curry chicken and Bahamas crepe. The chicken was lacking a bit of salt, but then again I like... More

Several very knowledgeable foodies have begged us to take in the 62 Bistro. We went last night and now understand their enthusiasm for what we think is a very special place. This unassuming little bistro in a faded restaurant strip on Hillview just might be a contender for the "best restaurant" in Sarasota. Here's why. This is a first-class French... More

This was our first visit after reading the great reviews. The sevice was wonderful and the food was excellent. The French Onion soup was so tasty and delicious. We had the pork medallons Marco Polo and the sauce was out of this world. Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. Nice intimate setting, exceptional service, terrific food, and reasonably priced... More

My wife and I visit an Indian restaurant next door to 62 Bistrot quite often called "Gateway to India", which we love. After eating at Gateway we saw this tiny French restaurant next door and thought it looked very welcoming inside and we decided to eat lunch there a few days later. When we arrived we were the only people... More

After a recent bad sarasota restaurant experience au francais, had to go back here. Delicious prix fix menu, lovely staff. Can't go wrong here.

We stopped here after church with another couple for breakfast/ brunch. Excellent service, atmosphere and food, at good, reasonable prices. We arrived at 10:30 and were the only customers at that early time. We chatted a bit with a congenial waiter, ordered and were quite satisfied with our food. We especailly liked having our coffee cups continually refilled with good... More

We ate at the 62 Bistrot in Lakewood Ranch (They have another restaurant on Hillview in Sarasota). The decor was charming and the service was gracious. The menu is a fixed price for an appetizer and and entree for $25.00 I ordered the fish of the day (cod) which was prepared picatta style and was delicious. The gorgonzola salad was... More

Perfect if you like restaurants where quality is more important than quantity. Most lunch entrees came with a garden salad on the side that was so fresh that one had the impression that they had just harvested it in the back garden, with a very tasty dressing but that was served on the side, so the salad was really crunchy... The food here was terrible. We ordered a Flambe and the waitress could not make it work, she kept dowsing the crepe with more and more alcohol. The Chef came out frustrated, lighted the crepe. He should have made us a new one because it was soggy. Best to go to L'Europe on St. Armands Circle for a good lunch.

We dined at this charming restaurant once toward the end of our stay in Sarasota. Definitely will return next year. The restaurant is perfect for a quiet meal in a nice setting. The dinner menu offers a number of selections with an appetizer and the main course for $25. My husband and I both ordered the salad with brie which... More
