We had a big group, and the owner and staff were very accommodating. Everyone thought the food was great. If I lived in Sarasota I would go there all the time.

As a 40+ year vegetarian I take my food pretty seriously when I dine out and expect something way better than I can make at home. That did not happen at Veg. There were four of us in our party for lunch, 2 vegetarians, 2 meat eaters. Everyone ordered a vegetarian dish and none of us were very impressed. Nothing... More

Our first time at Veg. Didn't know what to expect. Was wowed!! This was a special and our waitress recommended it. It came with a delicious salad. Sorry Baltimore - this was the best crab cake we've ever eaten. We are looking forward to trying other dishes at Veg!!! Great restaurant.

Healthy food at its best! Great scallops. Small venue make reservation to assure a table. Friendly and interesting owners. Wine list could be expanded. Overall great experience.

It should be called Veg and Fish. We have been returning to Veg for the last couple years for creative meals that make you forget the meat. The scallops are fantastic. In season you will need reservations as there are lines at lunch and dinner, but well worth it. Don't be put off by the little strip of stores. This... More

This was our first visit to Veg. We are vegetarians but we do eat fish at times. One of the specials of the day was an ahi tuna sandwich, which I had, while my wife had the ahi tuna wrap which was on the regular menu. The tuna was of an excellent quality - it was very fresh and seemed... More

We stopped in for lunch while running errands in Sarasota. What a great place! I had the seared tofu salad and the mango peach sangria; my mom enjoyed the avocado sandwich on rosemary focaccia...all of it was incredibly fresh and tasty. The combo of seafood, vegan, an gluten-free choices in one place is such a great idea...there really is something... More

found out about this place from friend who recently moved to Florida. Wife and I both had the Maine scallops which were very good along with fresh vegetables. Got the raspberry tartufo with dark chocolate-for dessert- excellent--waitress was very knowledgeable I am not a vegetarian but would eat there again because of the seafood entrees

This was our second visit to Veg and both of us are veteran vegetarians from the '70's. We were hopeful that our second visit would be more memorable because we really believe in what they're trying to do. Our waiter offered to let us taste a couple of red wines which were brought to our table very chilled. This wasn't... More
