My wife and I ate at Ham Heaven and Devil Dogs based upon the recommendation of some friends who are on a search to find the best deli in Sarasota. We both had hot pastrami sandwiches on rye and the pastrami was great. The owners are from Long Island and they know their way around good deli. The sandwich had... More

My wife and I stopped in around 4:30 in the afternoon on our way home. We were looking for some good home cooked food to eat later in the evening. Rocky the owner took care of us. I asked him a bunch of questions about the menu and he cheerfully answered them all. We ordered some fresh roasted turkey, a... More

We vacationed in Siesta Key in June and read the reviews for Ham Heaven and Devil Dogs. My husband loves reubens, so we had to try it. My husband said it was the best reuben (maybe sandwich) he's ever eaten. We went back a second time before we left. I had a chicken philly which was also excellent. The owner... More

My better half and I stumbled across this little gem while vacationing on Siesta Key, it is located right off of 41 and is tucked away with quite a few dive bars and some other fantastic restaurants. I ordered a corned beef reuben, my man got a pastrami reuben and we split them both. Enormous sandwiches, worth every penny, the... More

I have eaten at this gem of a restaurant for almost ten years and never had a bad meal. Reubens to die for. Hot dogs that rival Nathans of New York. Meat ball heros that make your mouth water. Ham and bean soup that remind me of Grandmas'. AND.....a take home menu that puts delicious food in your home freezer.... More

We must have been the last to learn about Ham Heaven. I always try the reuben at every new restaurant I visit if it is offered. Ham Heaven is simply the best I have had. All the ingredients are the way a reuben should be. We will be regular customers in the future.

The food is amazing and all made from scratch. There is something on the menu for everyone, the homemade manicotti is delicious, has an Italian I'm always afraid to try pasta out in a restaurant but at ham heaven there's no need to be scared Rocky makes it just right, the filet mignon sandwich is seasoned to perfection, the cheese... We ran into the owner Rocky as he is next door to Mr. Beery’s as we were about to have a beer. The rest is history as he assured even us German heritage Wisconsinites that his half pound Rueben was the best in Florida. Indeed it was along with the great service. Rocky prepared our Reuben which we obviously shared... More
