The view is worth a stop

Just happened upon this waterfront dockside eatery while driving around Longboat Key. SOOO glad we stopped. It was the perfect place for a good fish sandwich. I had the fried shrimp and it was just OK. Onion rings were a disappointment but the ambience and view were worth the price of admission... read more

Swing in here at least once a week... Never disappointed. Fried clams, hot dog or a delish tuna salad sandwich. Classic old Florida eatery. Mix with the fishermen, tourists, locals and what a mixed bag you have. Fast friendly service. Lines get long, you have the option of calling your order in ahead of time. Cleanest bathrooms in the world!!!

They have great burgers and fried food. All outdoor seating. We have lunch there at least once a week. Fun to sit by the docks and see the fishing guides bring in their clients with the catch and clean it and feed the birds

We had just stopped by for the first time on our way out of City Island. Only had a couple of beers so I can't say anything about the food. It is one of those old Florida dockside restaurants and bait shops with a lot of personality and charm. Great collection of ball cap style hats left behind over many... More

This little cafe is a fabulous stop-off point during a day's touring. Fresh fish sandwiches and a glass of wine, while watching the incoming fishermen gutting their catch and throwing the leftovers to the patiently-waiting pelicans is a real treat. Busy at lunchtime so come a little later to get the best spot.

Actually I can't say anything about the food here as we just stopped by for a beer, but we sure enjoyed the place. We had a good time walking out on the pier and taking pictures of the birds gathered there. A return visit is in the plans, and after reading about their good, simple food, we will defiantly plan... Always make sure we have a beer and burger at the New Pass Grill. One of our must do's when in LBK. It's a great little place!

You can't get more casual than the New Pass Grill. Enjoy a hotdog under the bridge by the water before catching some fish. Its rustic and authentic easy grilling food. Have the fish sandwich - you can't go wrong. Then grab you bait for an afternoon of fishing.
