I went here with my hubby for our anniversary, we did make a reservation, still had to wait, asked for a table not a booth, didn't get one, we are early 50's and were by far the youngest people there. Food fair, service so so, haven't been back. Mattison's downtown is much more to our taste.

Had lunch here with some of my lady friends and we all enjoyed our meals. I had one of their $9.00 lunches and it was delicious. I had the best broccoli and cheese soup of my life! Along with it was your choice of one-half a sandwich, which turned out to be larger than expected. I had the BLT and... More

We loved the ambiance of this stylish restaurant. I had the seafood special, and it was fantastic blend of flavors. Delicious in every way. Lamb chops were tasty, house pasta fantastic. Live piano music playing oldies just added to a wonderful evening!

Took a drive from the hotel to find this gem, serving a tasty selection of American-style steaks and seafood with a modern touch. Our experienced and gracious server, Helena, led us to some winning items on the menu - the iceberg wedge was a stand-out, as was my ribeye and claret, but we would return for the friendly, delightful service.

We used the private function room at Mattison's 41 for our wedding reception, and it was THE perfect venue. The food was amazing, the best wedding food we've ever had. The atmosphere in the room was perfect and the decoration was superb. They even made a wedding cake for us, which was beautiful and delicious. Heidi, the events organizer, was... More

We initially went to Mattison's because we could make reservations. Two of us had the "reconstructed pot roast", one had duck and the other prime rib...asking for and receiving the "end" cut. The pot roast, while odd looking, was very tasty and we both enjoyed it. The duck was good but looked a little dry. The prime rib was good... More

I am on a very restricted diet and happened to go to Mattison's Forty-One hoping I could find something with no raw vegetables and no dairy. No problem! The chef altered a daily special and prepared a magnificent meal for me that was totally in line with my food restrictions. And every mouthful was exquisite. We will be back (on... More

I wish I read the reviews before dining here. Expensive. Scallops overcooked . Artichoke appetizer battered deep fried with a lemon butter sauce. Batter bland, lemon butter what I could find also bland. Two of our diners had the pot roast and both stated it was not flavorful. My Berkshire pork was good..but the cheese polenta was nothing to write... More

We received a gift certificate and went to Mattison's 41 to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter, Jerry, was personable, efficient and full of good info - both food and Sarasota advice were offered. Our meals were excellent. I started with a green tomato salad which was yummy and large enough to share with my husband. He had shrimp rangoon and... More

Expensive, tasteless, overcooked. Duck was so over cooked that it was inedible. Grouper had no piccata sauce as claimed on menu. Polenta was completely bland. What a waste of a beautiful ambiance! Will never return.
