If you like NY/NJ style pizza you won't be disappointed!

Solorozano's is one of my top two pizzas in Sarasota, (Valentinino's is excellent as well, but a bit pricier, with no delivery to my area). The crust is thin and crisp with a small amount of flavorful tomato sauce. The cheese is excellent, with just enough without being overwhelming. My favorite... read more

We placed our order, 1 Hawaii'n pizza, and two slices (extra sauce, on the two slices...love sauce). We literally, live a block and a half away, Gulf Gate Apartments, and the delivery driver, couldn't find the apartment....Then, after 30 minutes, of walking the delivery man, on how to find our apartment....of which I over tipped the driver, which I do... We went in with a 8 top and there was only one customer in the whole building. We wanted to sit closer to the window so we can see each other and eat in the light. The owner told us that we cannot move his tables and that he will not move them himself to accommodate our business. Me and... More

Went there Saturday night with my wife for the second time in about a month and we were very pleased with our meal and since we are not very big eaters late at night we decided to share a dish made with seafood and pasta even though they charge a fee for sharing but it was very well worth it... Have eaten here several times in the past few months and am always delighted with food and service. Clams and linguini are exquisite while the spicy red sauce surprises and delights. Service is prompt and warm making you feel that you are a favourite customer on a first visit! Enjoy!

A hidden gen, a ten table well decorated in vintage New York splendor. Dark and romantic. The owner hostess/waitress was a joy and a wealth of "food" information. The appetizers, the wine, the entrees and the "dolce" were all spectacular. The four if us shared a large order of broccoli rabe and hot (from New Jersey) sausage. We began with... More

The decor is New Jersey Italian (The Big Night?), in the style of Victorian bordello, so old-fashioned that it's almost cute. The portions are big: a salad with burrata very good; linguine with clams in white sauce, very nice; zuppa di pesce over pasta, many shrimp, a couple of scallops, some mussels and pieces of fish in a red soup... We were referred to this place by Piccolo Italian Market since we were on a quest for NY/NJ type of dinner, we sure did come to the right place and we want to thank Piccolo's for refereeing us here.

Went here for the second time in two weeks, unbelievable especially since there are so many excellent restaurants here and we are Italian cooking Italian food at home. Both times a very good experience. Very good and pleasant wait staff. Music could be a little softer since place is small and conversations get loud trying to talk over the music.... More

No "Big Box" Italian chain, this is a charming little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall that reminds me of the places I ate in Italy. Franca, owner-hostess-all purpose great lady, makes sure everyone is happy and having a good time. More importantly, the food is so authentic you expect to see the Coliseum in the parking lot. A...
