Reliable Mexican food

By far, the best Mexican restaurant I've visited in Florida. I've been here many times. The food is always good and the prices are always reasonable. The fajitas are especially good. If you've had fajitas with dry chicken in them, the El Toro Bravo fajitas will be a revelation. The service... read more

This authentic Mexican restaurant has 2 qualities that stand head and shoulders above the rest. First is the food, absurdly outstanding. We have family travel across FLORIDA during our stay and they always ask us to save Mexican night for their night stay with us. The food is always good. The next quality is the friendliness and courtesy of the... More

A very personal spot on Clarke Road, they serve good tasting Mexican standards - at fair prices. The owner and sons - they were dead-ringers for Mexicans - were out front serving and checking on the tables.

It had been quite a while that I went back to this little "hole in the wall" but looking at the people waiting to be seated on a Monday night, told me that this place is as popular as ever, and deservedly so. A friend of mine treated me and others to a most wonderful evening of drinks and food,... More

We had a great meal tonight at El Toro Bravo. Our family of 7 arrived around 6pm and were seated right away -- the restaurant was packed. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She made good suggestions regarding the menu. The chips and salsa were great. Guacamole was quite good as well. I had Chili Colorado -- came with a... More

My wife and I just finished having dinner at this great little restaurant The food and the service was fabulous. Our waitress gresy offered some selections to consider off the vast menu. We took her suggestions and never looked back. My wife had the shrimp burrito and I had the Monterrey platter an assortment of tacos sides and enchiladas. For... More

We love this place and eat here often. Service is friendly and the food is great. We usually go for the Veracruz plate or the chile rellenos. The margaritas are made with an agave wine, and are very tasty. Newcomers get a free "tree of life" dessert, which is some warm bites of brownies on a plate with dollops of... More

We've been going to El Toro Bravo for several years and the food is consistently good every time. Most recently service has been very good and, of course, the owners are wonderful and ensure quality food and a good dining experience. There are several very tasty vegetarian options. Call ahead for reservations; they will save you up to an hour... More

Small and crowded... for a reason. Food was wonderful. Beginner nachos were neat as for the first time ever... the toppings were more plentiful than the chips!! Had to order extra chips!! I had the chimichanga chicken and ate the whole thing. Not overly heavy with re-fried beans. The dish looked very attractive and tasted wonderful. Husband has the chicken... More

Arrived on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Given a table within 20 minutes. Perfect. Our waiter Gabriel guided us through a menu we as Brits were not really familiar with and the food was gorgeous, service was spot on. Result for 3 very satisfied customers. A particularly nice ending to the meal were the complimentary chocolate brownies which arrived... More
