Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. The topper was the owner/chef came out to greet everyone and also helped the very busy wait staff clear tables. His wife the hostess made sure we got our complimentary first time visitors dessert!

Awesome! So fresh and piping hot. We were all very happy with the experience. Even the kids cleaned their plates. The service was also top notch.

We went here based on other reviews, and yes, they were correct. One of my favorite places to eat near my home is Mexican and this definitely measured up. I like a traditional margarita- their's is called a wine margarita, good but not my favorite. The chicken fajitas are excellent. The one thing that I like about my 'home' restaurant... More

If you are thinking of planning a trip based on restaurants, as we do. El Toro Bravo should be on the top of your priority list. Once again it was the first place we stopped once we got into town. Cinco queso is a must.( get the large) #3 Vera Cruz is fantastic. The owner Ruben remembered us from our... More

A tiny little restaurant in a nondescript strip center would not attract many patrons, but this place is buzzing even during the off season. Don't you wonder why? We went there years ago with a buy one get one free coupon that was pure serendipity. As we entered Ruben came out and welcomed us. He explained that if we did... More

We tried a lot of Mexican food in Florida, and this was by far the best! Very friendly service, we even got a free dessert since it was our first time visiting. Excellent authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices, lots of great menu options. I will definitely go back if I am ever in the area.

We found this place by accident and was pleasantly surprised! The food was far better than any I have eaten before! I plan to return the next time I am in Sarasota! A terrific menu with great prices and excellent service. I can not stress enough how good the food was! I will return!!

Each time I eat here, I choose something different because I can't believe the food is as good as it is. As a New Mexico native, I've never before found such authentic food in the style I grew up with in Carlsbad and Taos. If you're in the Sarasota area and craving great Mexican food, El Toro Bravo is the... More

The wife and I really like this place. It was recommended to us and boy are we glad it was. It is located in a small shopping plaza and parking could get a little tight on Fridays and weekends. Its a small restaurant with very limited outdoor seating and always packed but the staff tries hard to accommodate everyone. The... More

Mexican food here is several cuts above the usual Tex/Mex places. Reuben, the owner is a treasure with his openness and his dishes really hit the mark, especially the chili reneno (sp). Good prices, happy faces full of regular customers. Wife and I have become 2 of those regulars. Check to the hours though, sometimes they can surprise you with... More
