Wandering down and around and what a find. Sunday afternoon live music (great band, Franko and Fiends). Friendly and fun. Asparagus crab meat and shrimp appetizer w butter sauce to die for. Asked for bread to not waste any sauce. Soooo good. Local beer. Really great place.

Unfortunately, you cannot always choose a restaurant by the reviews. We chose Shorty's because of the reviews found on trip advisor and the menu selection. We walked thru the bar on the lower level that had a few customers sipping their brews. We were all excited about ordering gulf seafood! Once we climbed the stairs to the second floor our... More

Our introduction to this fine establishment was a bartender that warned us he was going to be too busy to provide us good service if we sat down stairs in his section. He had 5 customers that looked like locals. He said we would be better off going to the upstairs dining room. This should have been enough of a... More

Our food and service was lacking. Was looking forward to some good seafood. Did not find it here, I am sorry to say.

The food was mediocre. The grilled shrimp was very dry, The smoked seafood dip was nothing special (it tasted canned and had way too much mayonnaise), The gumbo was just average and overly spicy.

Short'y started out along time ago as the Grayton Corner Cafe ( am I right?) but has turned out to be the local / best kept secret in Grayton!!! Nice atmosphere ...local yokels..and the best Chedivichi!!! and the presentation is amazing!!!The staff there is so friendly and always accomaditing. And you are near to the "squeaqy" white sand beaches in the... Stumbled onto this gem during a recent trip down 30A while vacationing in Destin. The wait staff was fantastic and at our arm for anything we needed...the chef even came out twice to make certain we liked our meal...everyone was very friendly. My wife had the fish tacos and I had the shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta...both meals were... More

I'd eaten at Shorty's a couple of years back and remembered it as just so so. However, it was a pleasant day and we were close so we rode our bikes and stopped there for lunch. We walked into the downstairs bar area. There was no host/hostess so we sat down at a table. The bar tender never acknowledged we... More

Chose Shorty's over the Red Bar (just across the street) because we wanted to enjoy the view. The white table clothes and closed windows did nothing to make the atmosphere appealing. Sat down, ordered a drink from the server and decided then to go back downstairs to the bar. The server upstairs was a bit off-putting to say the least.... More

We tried to eat here earlier in the week, but the parking is very limited here. We came back a couple days later on our bicycles and got right in. They are offering a free shuttle from various stops nearby which should help during the busier times of the summer. The food was very good. I had the seafood platter... More
