Have eaten here many times over the years. The last 2 or 3 times it has been average at best, in service and food quality. I guess that happens when you have a captive audience, so to speak. Used to really look forward to Sunday brunch. Just kind of average to ok at best these days. Will probably not go... More

I am a frequent visitor to the area and have been to Great Southern many times. I usually love this place. The food is good(and reasonably priced for Seaside) the atmosphere is casual, and service is pretty good(at least friendly usually) I went there with my wife and a couple of friends. They were surprisingly busy for a Tuesday nite.... More

We have eaten here many times over several years. Most always it is good tasting and good value. The only exception is when we were seated inside, we had small children and the wait for our food was very long. The inside rooms have NO atmosphere what so ever, which may be part of the "charm of the place". My... More

We had lunch here on a hot, sunny day while looking around Seaside. We ate inside as it was a bit warm for us on the porch and the cool, white decor was so relaxing and pleasant. The food was excellent. We had a fried shrimp platter and a fried oyster po-boy and both were perfectly cooked and delicious. Shrimp... More

This is a must do every time we are in this area. Try the different mojito flavors...so great, and the Shrimp a Ya Ya is NOT to be missed! Same on the crab claws! I can't wait to return! Also have a wonderful breakfast!!!

We went here twice while in Seaside. The first time we ate dinner there and the food was amazing, probably the best fried green tomato I have had. The service this night was just okay. We waited awhile before our serve acknowledged us and he wasn't too friendly. We had the same experience at the bar trying to get a... More

Looking for a place at the beach, that has that beachy atmosphere, friendly customer service, and great tasting food ? Well, what are you waiting for, make sure you find the time to eat at the Great Southern Cafe. It's not a big place by many a standard, but on 30A it is a mid size place with room inside... More

We had a wonderful time enjoying the food and atmosphere of this cute little town. This is a must see when visiting Sea Side / Grayton Beach.

Had the blackened mahi sandwich and cheese grits. They were both wonderful! Well definitely be back on our next trip to Seaside.
