We are a small contemporary Italian restaurant. We have a full bar and bar area, dining room with open kitchen and a screened in porch area. We are chef owned and operated and at least one of the two owner/chefs can be found in the kitchen every night. We have a excellent staff most of whom have been with us for many years. We had our 15 year anniversary on March 1, 2015 with the same two owner/chefs for that time. We have a nice variety of food to choose from, with appetizers like calamari and pan seared sea scallops, salads like Caesar and arugula, pastas like angel hair with pan seared shrimp and three meat bolognese and entrees like grouper nicoise and roasted eggplant lasagna. Please come and give us a try!

Family dinner and anniversary celebration. Great service. Chicken piccata was excellent and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Nice selections on the menu. Something for everyone ! We try to dine here every trip to Grayton Beach. So convenient also.

Went to this restaurant without a reservation on a Friday night. Got lucky because they had a no show otherwise, the hostess said they couldn't take us. Intersting space with a separate bar area and a large dining room with open kitchen at one end. Space was nice but not overly decorated. My only complaint was the noise level. Very... More

I am a local who frequents this restaurant on a regular basis. I have been a small business owner for 25 years. One thing you never do is refuse business. I went in the restaurant to place a togo order and they refused, this restaurant opens at 6 pm. At 6:30 pm I drove down to place an order ,... More

The evenings around the fourth of July are the busiest times of our entire year. For as far back as I can remember, we have never allowed to-go orders around the fourth, just a policy the two chef-owners have had most of the 15 years we have been here. They just want to ensure that those dining in the restaurant... More

Our first visit to Borago. We ordered the mushroom ravioli and an angel hair pasta and shrimp dish. Both were very good. The bread and dipping oil were delicious. Chocolate cream brûlée was the best!

Borago is the only place I must visit when I am in the Destin area. I order the seafood fricassee every time. It is insanely delicious! The calamari is a great appetizer, and I love the focaccia that comes with your meal. The Strawbrezza is my favorite drink.

We had an amazing dinner! While driving around the area scouting for a new home, we stumbled on Borago based on reviews on an iPhone app. What a treat! In the casual, laid-back atmosphere, we enjoyed a leisurely meal. Our cocktails were very tasty. I managed to prevent myself from licking my salad plate - but only just. My filet... More

This is difficult! Borago has really good food, exceptional food but the service is horrible. We waited 40 minutes between courses and our waiter was not too concerned that we have been waiting. My guess is that this is a norm. I figured that they would want to turn the table since it was really busy. Now for the good... More

My wife and I went to Borago this past Thursday. It was late and we didn't make reservations. They were really busy but they cleared a table and got us right in. We are not big fans of Italian food but both love eating here. The servers are really down to earth and helpful. We have made numerous requests for... More

We walked to the restaurant from our hotel and arrived at 5:45pm on Friday night (15 minutes before opening). We were able to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink and get a table without a reservation. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Like others, we wished there were more than four tiny pieces of the delicious bread... More

Great compliment, thank you! Decided I guess I need to explain about the bread, our bread is made from scratch in house daily using reservations as a guide to how much made. The first few years we were open we would run out of bread towards the end of the night (imagine the upset customers who came in later) because... More
