Dinner at Sweet Melissa's was the highlight of our stay in Sanibel. Our waiter was top notch, service was perfect, and the food was out of this world. The restaurant itself is cozy and classy, quiet and comfortable. What a wonderful night it was!

Daily quiches, different interesting soups, interesting item, pork belly tacos. Not a lot of selections but what they have is very good! Servers are attentive and friendly!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. The spicy beef salad was great. My wife had the Crab cake sandwich was quite tasty. I had the crawfish po' boy. It was fried and too salty for my taste. Ambience is nice, the waiting staff were also and quite responsive to any requests.

Melissa's is a wonderful place to dine . . . don't go here if you want island deep-fried and frozen margaritas. Instead you'll find imaginative food, civility and a low-key elegance. Our most recent visit -- as a couple -- meant a table with enough spacing for private conversation, a wine selection from a nicely varied list, attentive but not... More

We ate here for the first time, on a sunny Tuesday, for an early lunch. We were the second group to arrive to wait for them to open, so we were able to get a table on the screened in patio. The is a classy place with professional service, and a great menu. I ordered a beet salad, however after... More

Best mussels I've ever had. Loved the choice of full size or petite size entres. Mahi was superbly prepared. Great wine list. Good service.

Two of us had both a lunch and dinner at Sweet Melissa's. For lunch - a crab cake sandwich and a grilled steak sandwich. Both were very tasty. Dinner was the special of the night - salmon - delicious, and beef tenderloin - very good. The kitchen was willing to make a substitution for the spinach with the beef dish,... More

Melissa never disappoints. And to top it off Kevin "Our bartender" we ate at the bar, was amazing. Truly a great guy. The food is spot on.We always come here when we visit Sanibel. Year after year. I started with the cheese plate paired with Cabernet. Then had the filet which was cooked to perfection. Job well done again.

We ate dinner twice during a 2 week stay on Sanibel and were pleased both times. Even tho we called on Tuesday for a reservation, we were unable to get one for between 7 and 7:30 on a Friday, so plan ahead. The place is closed Mondays. The restaurant is divided into several small dining areas with an open kitchen... More
