Would highly reccomend for great food

We started with the conch fritters, it was a first for us, they were just ok. A little chewy. My husband ordered the fried grouper with fries and I had the marinated grouper. The marinated grouper is the best hands down! They also had really good slaw. I am only giving 4 starts because of the... read more

I was very disappointed in this place. It is loud and cramped. I found their food to be subpar- had a fish sandwich and fries. The fries had some sort of breading on them which I didn't like at all. I don't know why people think this place is so great. It's like a sportsbar.

Conch fritters, peel & eat shrimp, raw oysters & beer. What more do you need on Sanibel? Everything we had was delicious, fresh & well prepared.

The Lazy is synonymous with Sanibel and one of our favorite stops. The beer is cold and the mugs frosty. It's a fun atmosphere for bar-goers and families alike. Highlights on the menu include the conch chowder (spicy and delicious), blackened grouper sandwich and fried grouper basket. The steamed clam appetizer is also impressive, served with Old Bay seasoning and... More

If you like grouper, need to visit this place. They are one of the best places in the Ft. Meyer / Sanibel area for grouper. it was moist and flaky, with just the right amount of other spices. The Conch Fritters were great. they also have a good selection of draft beers. We go there every year when we are... More

Sanibel has many fine dining restaurants but this was recommended as a great place for a simple burger and it fit that bill. The menu had many other options but we stuck with the great burgers, great service, the laid back atmosphere, and enjoyed every bit of it.

We had dinner here and were underwhelmed with the food. The service was fine for casual dining but I just can't see eating here with all the choices on Sanibel. The fried calamari was rubbery with bland marinara sauce, the grouper sandwich was okay, and the peel and eat shrimp were cooked in an unappetizing spice mix with salt as... More

Perfect for what it is, a small, low-key, beach eatery where you can get a decent grouper sandwich and fries that is fresh and tasty. It is a lunch/casual dinner place. We have eaten here two years in a row on the day we arrive, after a long drive, and it's just perfect for that situation. I will go here... More
