We come here to eat the wonderful grouper sandwich or salad, which I highly recommend. We also love the peel and eat shrimp, the raw oysters, stone crab in season, and the very cold draft beers. I read someone's review that said this is only for fried food - then you must not have read the menu. This is a... More

We walked in the door from sunset and I had my favorite Tervis tumbler in my hand. The first thing I heard was "you can't bring that in here", barked at me by the bartender. We live in a tourist town, so I understand but the attitude was less than friendly or inviting. I stepped back out and emptied the... More

Went with 2 family's and it probably would have been better if it was just my wife and I or a buddy. Food is bar food but I thought the grouper was good. The guys at the bar were super friendly. Like I said probably not the best place for a couple family's to go, more of a lets go... More

The Lazy Flamingo, located in historic Santiva area of Sanibel is a fun place to visit. Come right before sunset and enjoy the fantastic views of the area. I have the Caesar salad, topped with Grouper each time. The fish is fresh and very tasty. Bring a jacket or sweater to wear indoors, if you don't like the cool A/C.

Not everyone likes a "dive bar" but this is one you should not miss. We have been visiting San-Cap for more than 20 years and we always include at least 2 visits to the Lazy Flamingo. The caesar salad with mesquite grilled grouper is out of this world. No really, there is nothing like it anywhere else. There is limited... More

Order at the bar, carry your own food, and even clear your plates if you like. But the grouper sandwich makes up for all of that. No hesitation recommending it to others. It is small, though. Tables are limited and might be a problem in high season.

Stopped for lunch with friends. Good service, food was okay. Limited menu. All the usual you'd expect at the beach bit nothing special.

This place is awesome!! Every time we come to Sanibel we always come here at least once or twice. Our favorite food here is the wings and the garlic bread. Would definetly recommend this place to everyone that visits Sanibel.

We spent the morning fishing in Pine Island Bay catching redfish, strippers and trout. Captain Nelson our guide told us to take the redfish to the Lazy Flamingo and have them prepare for us. so we did taking even fillets for a dinner for 8 and tried a variety of their seasonings:jerked, mystique, blackened, fried. They were all great, combined... More

We stopped here from a recommendation by the bartender at Doc Ford's. Very small place with only two employees. The bartender/waiter and the cook. You need to like fried food in order to eat at this place. We ordered the conch fritters and were definitely disappointed. We did see a hamburger come out to another diner that looked like it...
