this is a fun place to stop and have a beer and some clams or steamed shrimp. Fun , funky atmosphere and good basic apps.

We stopped in here for lunch, and I have to say I was really pleased with the whole experience. It always helps to set your expectations. We were looking for a casual restaurant, with local flavor and good fish. We were not disappointed. I had the fish basket, but should have had the fish broiled instead of fried. Don't get... More

What a fun, intimate bar! It truly is a bar with no more than eight tables. You order at the bar and they call your name when it it's ready. The space was clean, not overly done, and seemed to draw the locals. We had grilled grouper which was absolutely yummy. It had nice charred grill marks. In laws had... More

We ate here recently with British friends who have a house on Sanibel, this is one of their local eating out venues and I can see why. The bar is casual, cool and laid back and shaded out of the bright Florida sunshine. From the extensive, sea-food based menu we ate buffalo wings, a caesar salad and chicken tenders, all... More

A relaxing seashore atmosphere. The staff was very friendly with everyone helping each other (not just their stations). For lunch we had the combo pot with steamed clams and oysters; they give you a knife, but they were easily opened was delicious. We also enjoyed Cesar salads, mine with blackened grouper and extra anchovies was very tasty. You could eat... More

I just love the caesar salad with mesquite grilled grouper and their yummy grilled bread. Start it off with some raw oysters and I am in heaven. Wash it down with some cold beer and share the whole experience with friends or family. Hard to have a better time. The Lazy Flamingo is not fancy but the quality of my... More

Fresh fresh salmon cooked perfectly... it was super. Costs way too much, especially for wine. And ugly as sin. But they KNOW how to grill salmon until it tastes like heaven. Over $27 for a pot of clams -- very tasty clams. But expensive for clams. The fries were wonderful.

I was in Sanibel for a week and had Grouper there twice. 1st time was great but the next it was a little gamey. Service was good at the bar and the servers were pleasant

We stopped in here after a bike ride around the island and we were ready for a quick pick me up and a drink. Very nice, informal atmosphere with lots of fun things to look at inside. Large portions of delicious fries and onion rings. Very typical bar food but delicious and served hot. Good, fresh seafood choices. Feels like... More
