The good, this restaurant is lower budget. The bad- just too dark and dreary for a dinner out in lovely Captiva. Hamburger was $9.99 and it seemed like a pre-packaged 8oz. patty. My husband liked the shrimp but not enough for us to revisit this restaurant. This Lazy Flamingo had more of a bar feel than a restaurant feel which... More

Loved that they were located in walking distance from where we were staying. We went right after sunset and sure paid for it. There is one cook and everything else is done by the hard working guy behind the bar. My suggestion is if your not in a hurry and want to have time with the family and drink some... More

Tried to take family to dinner, and we have a child with allergies. Manager and staff refused to make any accommodations for the child. We walked out and refuse to ever go back.

I had the grilled grouper sandwich and the grouper was perfect. My bread was falling apart so I had some trouble eating it. My son ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad, it was huge and he really enjoyed it. The prices aren't high but they don't have very many choices on the menu. It seemed to be the same meats... Lazy Flamingo offered quality fare with a reasonable price. Order at the bar and they will call you to pickup your meal. Rather a small venue, but still worth the trip.

The food is wonderful and the price is very reasonable for dinner. For an appetizer we had the chips and salsa which was average. It was really no different than a bag of Tostitos and a store bought jar of salsa so it really isn't worth the $4.25 we spent. For dinner, I had the chicken tender sandwich and my... More

Not as great as expected. Talked up hype on this place. Food is average at best. All 3 of us disappointed. Had better in pawleys island nc. Step it up a few notches and we will be back. Until then next time we will pass. A higher verison of long johns. Sorry guys. You need improvement.

The thing I like most about this place is the fact that they serve later than most places on the island. You can catch sunset on the beach and still have a night out. The menu is a little limited, but the oysters are good, as are the fried shrimp and wings. The waitresses are super-friendly and keep drinks filled.... More

We stayed in Sanibel and ate here several times during our vacation. It was may fav place to eat! We brought our fish we caught one night and it was delicious :) It IS a small place...but has some outside seating too. However we never hit it when there wasn't any seating. We sat at the bar some of the... More

I have been coming to Sanibel for almost 20 years, the Lazy Flamingo never disappoints. In fact, my own children now request it as the first night out when we get to the Island! My husband and i have enjoyed the restaurant with our five children as well as a night out with just the two of us! We have... More
