Busy, active, and very good. Go for the best breakfast you will ever have and at reasonable prices. Large portions. If you go for breakfast, you can skip lunch for sure. Great spot, not to be missed.

I always make sure I stop at the Island Cow for dinner and breakfast and ice cream in between. Service and food are incredible, always a good time and nice refreshing cocktails.

Tons of fresh choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a fun and friendly island setting... always delicious! Indoor and outdoor service with big portions and baskets of fresh muffins to start every meal. Love the fresh fish platters, sandwiches and salads. Save room for dessert---if you can!

We had great food and excellent service on Friday night for dinner. We returned on Monday morning for breakfast and could not get served even with an almost empty dining room.

We went to the Island Cow twice on a recent trip to Captiva. Once for breakfast and the next day for lunch. The breakfast was excellent. Golden Brown pancakes - hot and homemade. My boyfriend had a frittata that was just amazing. Everything came with a little cut up fresh fruit - such a nice touch! The portions were very... More

Service was timely, but our server seemed a little distracted. Sandwiches were huge, tasty but not really special.

We got to Sanibel before sunrise one morning, and the Ads & reviews said to try this place. Liked the vibe outside, but the COWs inside was an overload w no island vibe to be seen. Between the ackward waiting for ANYONE to been seen to seat us or greet us (just after opening) to the Loud crash off the... More

This place gets a lot of positive feedback and I'm not really sure why. It's always busy because the place is very small, it has probably 30 tables tops, half of which are outside and essentially unusable in the summer. It also has one bathroom, that EVERYONE shares. Last year when there I waited 15 minutes in line to use... More

Stopped here on our first evening on Sanibel. Loved the Florida look inside. Very charming! Initially we sat outside. Soon we were being bitten by something. Come to find out they are called NOSEEUMS. invisible little flies that like to bite. We then moved inside. All the tables were filled so we sat at the bar. First off we tried... More
