After spending the day at the beach the family was ravenous. I had heard that anywhere on the island was going to be expensive, and with 14 people in tow I was apprehensive and ready to find a grocery store for peanut butter and jelly if need be. Boy, was I surprised when I saw the extensive menu and the... More

Ate here once and the food was only "ok". Menu says that the fish is straight off the boat...I had a tuna steak that I'm sure was frozen. And it was served to me with absolutely no finesse at all...just a piece of fish...no sauté, no sauce, no dipping sauce...nada. They are famous for their cheese grits so I tried... More

From the first time I learned about and planned to visit Sanibel I knew I would be going here. My boyfriend and I stopped here for some appetizers and beer. We had the gator tail bites (first time) and the frickles (fried pickles). Both were very savory. The waiter was GREAT! We absolutely loved him. The atmosphere wasn't our favorite,... More

Carly was our waitress and was so friendly. Great options for breakfast and reasonably priced. Good place for families as well. Lots of indoor and out door seating. Extensive menu for lunch and dinner too. And they offer live entertainment some nights.

We had lunch with a family of 9, Aug 2014. Great menu and fair pricing. Large portions of all kinds of food from local seafood to burgers and fries. Service was good and quick. It was a warm day so we sat inside. We will return.

On an island where most of the dinner menus are fairly similar the Island Cow offers a change of pace. We stopped in on Wednesday night in August and it was busy but we didn't have to wait. My wife ordered the reuben sandwich and I got a shrimp poboy. Both were good but not exceptional compared to others that... More

I had some mango sangria, so maybe it colored my opinion :) Seriously, I had the crab cakes, and they were very good - top notch, fine restaurant quality. Lots of crab meat, cooked exactly right. My sons had a burger and a steak, both done perfectly. The meatloaf and chicken fingers were very good as well. The "muffins" which... More

We come to Sanibel the end of every summer and dine here every time. This past time the dinner wasn't as good. Bland taste and a bit pricey for the portion. It was also very uncomfortable ( temperature wise ) in there. Nothing like being out in the hot Florida sun all day just to get cleaned up and go... More

This place is so authentic. The menu is extensive, the atmosphere is great, and the service wonderful. Despite a long long wait, it was all worth it. It may have been the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant! I say, take the wait, it's definitely all worth it!
