Our hotel recommended this and the Island Cow for breakfast, we chose here for our first morning but the food was a big disappointment. we sat outside which was ok but you are basically sat in a car park! The food did not seem fresh, the breakfast potatoes tasted like they are from a box. After being in Orlando I... more

I read in a local publication that Over Easy Cafe was the best for breakfast on Sanibel Island. Unfortunately my husband and I don't agree. It was overpriced and nothing special. The food didn't look or taste fresh. Sorry folks. I wouldn't go back. more

We ate at Over Easy twice during our recent stay - both times for breakfast. You must try their fresh squeezed orange juice! Good breakfast fare - my hubby had the pancackes on one visit and French toast on another. I tried the Sanibel Scrambler and the Mexican omelette. All were tasty, and the portions are very generous. Very small... more

We tried this for breakfast one morning and were a little disappointed. The prices were rather high and what we got wasn't worth it. I got bacon and eggs. The bacon was the saltiest I ever ate. I love bacon but couldn't finish it for that reason. There are better places to go for breakfast on the island. more

At the end of July 2009, my girlfriend and I stayed in Captiva. I did alot of research on the islands before we made the drive down from St. Louis to try and guage how much money I'd be spending and the best, most affordable places to spend it. I read all the reviews of the resort we stayed at... more

nice food, quaint atmosphere (and it is French provencal, not Florida pastel!!), friendly prompt attentive service. We ate eggs benedict with spinach and mushrooms, very tasty, and a wrap with chicken and other goodies, also pleasing. more

Ate there this morning due to great reviews. Coffee was terrible, either the pots have never been cleaned or there is no water filter on the local water supply. Had the Southern Breakfast and while the eggs were good the home fries were too soft and mushy depending solely on seasoning and not much grilling. The biscuit was doughy and... more

Cute decor and nice atmosphere, great service and good food. My husband and I had a basic eggs, pancakes, sausage breakfast. We went back for lunch twice and I loved the Summer Salad. Prices are average for breakfast around Sanibel. There are not many tables so if it were the busy season it is possible we would have to wait.... more

I've been vacationing in Sanibel for years including the last 3 years back to back. I have somehow managed to miss this place until this year. I have to say I'm kind of mad that I did. The food is wonderful. In our party there were orders of French toast, omelets, pigs in blankets, eggs Benedict - all in large... more

We ate here because the Hungry Heron was closed. What a lucky break because this little place was super tasty! I had a mimosa made w/ dry champagne but it was amazingly good! I got the special pancakes w/ pecans and strawberries, if that weren't enough they included eggs and bacon too! The meal was great and though the service... more
