Wonderful Breakfast

We stopped in around 9am on a weekday for a delicious breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes were light and fluffy. The wait staff was attentive and the coffee was strong. Great breakfast. We will be back.

A first time visit for us and it was well worth it. The server was efficient and the food was really tasty. The choice of food was good and even included grilled alligator with eggs. This tasted excellent!

The food was amazing and the Restaurant was quaint. It could have been a little larger. It was in a small strip shopping center with a charming store right next store. Great for shopping for gifts or sourvenirs. The location was really good, maybe 8-10 minutes from our hotel.

We eat here almost every time we stay on Sanibel because the food is consistently good, and there are so many great choices. This time I had the chicken salad sandwich and cole slaw which were excellent. My friends had a burger and fish sandwich with fries and they were also pleased. Great friendly service, too.

This was our third trip to Sanibel over the last four years, but the first time we stumbled across the Sanibel Cafe. The staff and owner were friendly. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The food was really good and cooked to order. The homemade jams were fantastic, brought home 3 jars! I wish... More

We arrived midweek about 10:30am and were seated right away next to the window. Loved the tables with the glass over designs of Sanibel shells. The waitress was very efficient and had out coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice on the table in no time. I ordered the waffle with strawberries and my husband ordered the regular breakfast with eggs,... More

We arrived before 9:00 on a weekday and were seated right away. Service was quick, but a little distracted. One person doing pretty much everything. My husband and I both enjoyed our food. I ordered a breakfast croissant, which was described as having shaved ham. Instead, it was two large, thick slices of ham, much bigger than the croissant, making... More

My wife and I go to the Sanibel Cafe when we visit the island because my wife absolutely loves the Rusty Pelican sandwich. She likes the sweetness of the strawberry jam on the sandwich and she thinks it complements the turkey and the bacon and the cole slaw to make the Rusty Pelican an exceptional experience. We've always had good... More

We ate breakfast here 3 mornings and enjoyed it every time. They also offered home made jams at the cashier which I bought. I love raspberry and it didn't disappoint. Even took one home to my sister and she loved it as well.

I have personally met the owners of Sanibel Café. Usually eat there several times each visit. Breakfast and Lunch only, closes at 2:30pm. So, get up early to enjoy Sanibel Café. Tell Richard you read about him on Trip Advisor. Clean, decorated with shells, everything is good, especially their chicken and tuna salad. You won't go wrong here. Located in... More
