The Crunchy fried shrimp were delicious and their rum punches are easy to sip. Place wasn't very busy and the service was good. I would assume that during the 'season' this place is mobbed. more

If you like to be rushed..have mediocre food thrown on your table.. After giving the order, all the food came promptly, salad, bread and main course-- having everything plopped down on the table as if we were in a fast food restaurant.. Overpriced, medium quality food--nothing special.. Diner quality, better restaurant prices. Never saw this"waiter" again til he brought out... more

Our overall experience was pretty good. The service was a little shaky--well meaning, but they got things mixed up. Unlike another reviewer, we liked the calamari. The seafood (a grouper entree and a shrimp entree) was fresh and cooked properly. We thought the prices were a little steep, but they were in line with what we paid elsewhere for seafood... more

We went to Timbers based on local recommendations and enjoyed our experience. The dining room though completely indoors makes you feel as though you are at the docks. Very nautical and fishing oriented. The menu has a large variety of fish and seafood as well as other dishes. The crab cakes were excellent. Service was very friendly and took care... more

We had a great dinner at Timbers. Shrimp scampi was very tasty, the bread is fabulous, and the service is good. The restaurant itself is very nice in terms of atmosphere. more

Go if you want your drinks strong and tasty. Do NOT go if you want edible food. (seriously - how bad can calamari be? VERY bad. Frozen, then fried in rancid oil and then served cold at your table). The service - especially the hostess - needs an attitude adjustment in a big way. more

A diappiontment! First night we got into town, we were starved. ANything would have tasted good. Anything but this. It could have been an off night....but this was certainly the worst meal I have ever had, in addition, very expensive for what it was. more

My husband and I tried several restaurants on Sanibel....Timbers was far and away the best. The seafood was cooked perfectly every time. ....and they make an outstanding martini. You will pay a lot more at the Green Flash on Captiva for mediocre service and not as well-prepared seafood. more

Heard this place used to be the place to get great seafood. Yellow snapper was very fishy tasting, not fresh. Over cooked. Shrimp appetizer supposed to be fresh from the Gulf were also terrible. Vegetables were bland and mushy. Grouper was ok, but not awesome. Worst place we've eaten at in Florida so far- and the priciest. Stay away. Marcia... more
