Timbers has good food, good atmosphere, well trained and attentive staff. Prices are about the same as everywhere else, just a little more than you expect to pay... as always. But well worth it! Good shrimp, good fish, nice experience overall.

Were were down on Sanibel and needed a quick meal.Timbers was close by.I ordered a hamburger, the service was quick, but i don't know what some cooks are thinking. I see no sense in putting on tomato and lettuce that look like they were on 5 peoples dishes as garnish two days before. The roll was stale (but toasted) to cover... More

Pricey, but good food and good service. I had the Tuna steak and it was DELICIOUS and huge. My wife had swordfish and thought it was o.k. Nice atmosphere.

First trip to Sanibel and we decided to try Timbers. Clearly this is off season as the place was nearly deserted, but our waitrtess was very nice and very willing to talk to us about the fish and the preparation. I ended up with red grouper "bronzed" - not a preparation I was familiar with - less spicy than blackened,... More

We have always gone to the Timbers. The last few visits we were just not impressed. Hope they can find the magic again. Wait staff is a little too formal and stuffy. A laugh and a smile would go a long way.

We always get our fresh fish at the market area of The Timbers. The staff is passionate and helpful and they sell spices and sides to go with your selection if you need them. Free recipies are also available. The desert case is pretty difficult to avoid:)

Stopped in for dinner one night as it seemed to be the only place that looked open. Our fish was excellent. Drinks just okay. They have a shared plate policy of charging $5 and then each party gets the full potato and vegetable serving. We liked that but usually don't. It's quite large and I'm guessing in the high season... I ordered the grouper bites and there were just awful. They are fried but they then toss them in butter and garlic. The clam chowder was served lukewarm. It was the consistency of paste and the flour used to thicken could be tasted. The fresh lobster tail had sat in the fridge so long that it was dry and tasteless.... More
